Awesome. Apple has its mojo again. Even in the keynote, they seem so confident.

However, lets first witness the forum users first heavily scrutinise the new design, then mock it, then accuse apple of copying Samsung.

.....then embrace and worship it as if they had all along. You'll never find ONE negative post about iOS 7 from me. I've loved from the beginning :D

Little tiny but important tidbit- being able to block calls and contacts. I have two entire groups called "Telemarketer" and "Political Spam," currently with "silent" ringtone, I will block them forever....!

For the love of God someone please tell me that we can now reply to texts without leaving the app we're in and also from the home screen!

enter the newsstand haters

That would be me. The ability to dump Newsstand into a folder with all the other apps I don't want is nice. Even nicer would be the ability to hide apps I don't want to see, like android does and BlackBerry did several years ago. If you use it that's great. I don't and don't want it cluttering up the screen.

Any word on if notification banners still block your back button. Can anyone post a screen of one? Super-curious about that.

Not sure about iOS 7, but on iOS 6 the banners don't fully cover the back button and you can still hit the small part of the back button that's still viewable.

GAAAH GIVE ME QUICK REPLY!!!!

iOS would be perfect for me if they just added that feature. I mean they have it OSX Maverick, why not in iOS also?

Where is the support for Auto-correct/auto-complete, auto-capitalize, double space for period for external Bluetooth Keyboards.

This was due in iOS6, promised in fact, and never appeared.

I got a Mini yesterday with the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard for iPad Mini and was bummed to find out none of these work on external keyboards though it was promised some time ago. Especially on a Mini on a cramped keyboard, this is essential.

And yes while I realize the beta is iPhone only, the same should be true of a keyboard paired to an iPhone or an iPad.

Can any beta testers confirm if this has been fixed?

I like it! Though (and I know this is pedantic) I'm not a fan of the new 'bars' for cellular signal strength. Though I suspect a jailbreak tweak later will fix this. (Now bring on the 'Jailbreak is never gonna happen' and 'there's no need anymore' like iOS4, 5 and 6.)

Same here. This is a beautiful piece of software. Even the die-hard android fans I know aren't going on like "ERMAGERD, GOOGLE INVENTED EVERYTHING IN IOS 7 FIRST!" They're basically admitting that they really like iOS 7.

This times 10. Oh, and add buttons back to the interface.

I agree, I'm not so sure I'm a fan of the blocks vs buttons like in mail when you slide to the left on a message and it reveals More and Trash as blocks instead of buttons.

i wish it would include a complete phone usage monitor ie data, cell minutes (and discount if its inside group/family etc) text.

but regarding facetime is that shaping up to be a viber alternative? does it show facetime status in the contacts/phone app?

I would love quick reply! I'm hoping they add it in later. This is only the beta, so lets hope it gets put in! It would get more use in iOS than OS X. At least for me anyway.

You can now swipe from the left side of the screen to go back. So even if it does, you can still go back.
