I know how to use the gestures. It's not hard, it's just not a good workaround. If I'm writing an email describing and explaining the revisions in a document I've marked up, I might have to look back at the document four dozen times to then reference it in the email I'm writing. Swipping back and forth four dozen times is just tedium, compared to what I can do on even an 11" laptop: have both the document and email open side by side. It just shows that the iPod isn't good for many types of work.
