fine on iPhone 5 but my iPad is just displaying the apple logo after attempted jb :(
isn't being detected by iTunes or evasi0n - any ideas?

Funny, this news had everyone at "jailbreak." Quick, quick...install it!!!! Dont mind the fact that there isnt really anything to actually do with it at this point. I agree with other sentiments - odd timing especially with no communication to JB devs.

iOS 7.1 Beta 2 Successfully Jailbroken.
[Make sure you disable passcode lock before attempting to JB]

I'm stuck at "Configuring system (2/2)" it's been a while, 15 min I guess... It does have an evasi0n icon on my iPhone 5 iOS7.0.4 but it does nothing.

Should I close evasion and try again?

Really questionable timing of this release. No jailbreak developers were given advance notice so nothing has been updated for iOS 7 or 64 bit devices. And by rushing it out now they've given Apple time to patch it in 7.1, which is a way more stable build of iOS 7 than 7.0.x, especially on the iPad. It's weird because the evad3rs usually have such polished and well-coordinated releases. It's almost like they were rushing to beat someone else to the punch.

The only way releasing the jailbreak now makes sense in my mind is if they have enough exploits in reserve to be confident of a 7.1 jailbreak if Apple patches this one.

I guess this is why:

Should the talk be believed, evad3rs were provided with $1m USD in exchange for loading Taiji Helper (see taig.com).

What happens when/if your dev account expires? Will that matter as long as the beta doesn't expire? I presume its just needed to install and for Apple to check that the device is signed before installation, and then it doesn't matter right?

What if Apple were to push a beta 3 version tomorrow? Could you still install beta 2? Like can you still install beta 1 now even though beta 2 is out?

I just tried to jailbreak on my iPhone 7.0.4 with OS X 10.9.1.

I got the booting loop. What should I do? Try again?

My phone was already backed up so I have it all back now.

Yeah I've done all that. My phone is fine now, but if I try to jailbreak again will it work?

I want to have it jailbroken.

You may try. I've tried two times, didn't work for me. So now I am waiting for updated evad3rs jailbreak, because they're working on it right now.

Yes, because you updated over air, you can't jailbreak. You'll have to restore, then you will be able too.
