You're right, nobody is forcing me to do anything.

I was just suggesting that anybody who install this at this stage is foolish. If you don't mind phoning unknown data home to an unknown IP, and installing lord knows what else without the users' knowledge, then be my guest and install this.

Indeed... it all seems just a tad dodgy at this stage. I'm not gonna touch it anyway. Paranoia perhaps, but that's the internet for you. When in doubt, stay away and 'monitor the situation'..!

I jailbroke my iPod touch on 7.1 beta 2...and I couldn't even find the .plist in iOS 7 for enabling the Battery Percentage. What I did find though is that all the devices have each others Dynamic Wallpapers...they just aren't enabled for whatever reason. I would have loved to have the Blue, Green, and Yellow ones from the iPhone release of 7.0

No one is forcing you to use anything you don't want to.

1. I like how you use something that promotes piracy while unabashedly railing against it in your previous posts. You are a hypocrite.

2. This isn't just about this incident. This is about what this means for the future of jailbreaking as a whole and how it will lose legitimacy. Will everybody whore themselves as they have done in the future? Goodbye open source, hello obfuscated binaries!

If the Evad3rs team jumped off a cliff, you are that guy who would jump right after them.

I do what I like and use whatever I want.
I don't have to explain myself to anyone or care about anyone's approval.
Use whatever you want or stay stock.
Ask me again if I care whatever you decide to do.
I'm going to jb all my iDevices and enjoy them.:D

You do that. If you don't care, then why do you comment on anybody who dare criticise evaders?

I approve getting paid for their work, but they are nuts if they think I'm going to install any jb code they collaborated with the ChiComs.

This will also get a heck of a lot more attention from Apple and, potentially, the feds.

Yeah, something definitely fishy about this jailbreak. Gonna wait a bit.

Lol so let's get this right:

- They bundled an old version of Cydia without even consulting with Saurik
- They didn't even bother to test Saurik's latest version with iOS 7 fixes
- The app phones home to an IP in costa rica
- They bundled some chinese crapware which allows you to install pirated apps

No thanks. Evad3rs have pretty much destroyed whatever trust the jailbreak community had.
I agree. This seems very rushed, something isn't right. Factor in Safari Password Saving, etc, etc, and I'm a little paranoid about what is going on behind the scenes of my iPad Air with a new jailbreak and who is looking at my information. I'm going to wait a bit as well.

Pretty much, all the trust I had in them has gone.
I will be looking for another team when jailbreaking.
This all seems really suspect and fishy.

I jailbroke it this morning but it's very unstable and nothing has been updated, so I restored back to factory.

Hearing all this stuff about the Chinese app store, IPs in Costa Rica make me think one thing - ***** the evad3rs.

I'll gladly donate to their cause, as I know many others would, but they gambled with one thing they shouldn't have - our trust.

They easily could've raised north of a million dollars through our donations, yet they chose to screw everything up.

Jailbroke my i5 this morning and this is really odd but I had been having problems with my battery percentage meter dropping quickly and erratically until now! Also my battery life (so far) has returned to ios 6.1 usage. Normally with 2 hours of usage I'd be down to about 65% on stock 7.0.4 but now it's... Whatever works! ;)

Yet, like Pavlov's dog, the jb lemmings eagerly installed the software on both their iDevices and their desktops/laptops. Think of all the personal information that could have been shipped to Costa Rica and China.

Great news but maybe it would have been greater to wait 7.1 since it seems to perform better.

I've very thoroughly benchmarked 7.1b2 and 7.0.4. Safari's stability is waaaay better on the former on the iPhone 5. On the iPad 3, however, there isn't as marked a difference. That is, if you have an iPad 3, not much is to be regretted - unlike with iPhone 5 users.
