Anyone else having a "Temperature" screen coming up in iOS 7 that only allows for emergency calls until the phones cools down. I am, but the phone is never hot. After a max of 5 minutes it goes to that screen.

Have you told Apple? Tell Apple, they need to know, and with respect, care more than we do (didn't mean that to sound snotty, just matter of fact).

If you are not an official dev, then of course, you can't tell Apple, so the thread is utterly redundant imho.

Cant and won't happen. If there is a problem with the phone, it was not caused by running iOS 7. Please stop making such ridiculous assumptions.

Who says?

iOS7 utilizes the GPU more than iOS6. Who's to say that the GPU has an internal fault which was exacerbated by increased usage in iOS7?

Of course it's possible for beta software to damage devices, especially when they're integral to the hardware.

The way iOS is setup its nearly impossible to brick a phone by iOS,you're always able to DFU restore(unless you get some error related to jailbreaking or one of the buttons doesn't work) the phone.

Unless you have a hardware fault which was the entire point of my post.

Failing hardware - under more stress - failed hardware

I replaced my black iphone 5 with a white one recently. And i noticed it ran really hot several times. Not to the point that it got the message posted here. They did swap the phone out a few times. And the ppl at the apple store by me said that was a known issue with the white phone. (That it would run hot sometimes, or when plugged in)

Which would still have nothing to do with iOS7, if that were the case then playing an extra game on iOS6 could have caused the same issue. It's simply not possible for it to be iOS7's "fault"

It could.

Of course, it could be that a graphic intensive game would cause the same issue. If the end user doesn't play games and the fault was caused by iOS7 stressing the GPU, then yes, in this case, it would be iOS7's 'fault'.

I have seen it once in my iPhone history. I left the thing out in the sun on the patio table for a while then tried to take a pic of something.

After working with it for a while, I am positive it was just a hardware problem. Especially since the screen displayed the same message under the same circumstances on both iOS 6 and 7.

My iphone 5`s been fine, not seen this yet... Depends where you live and the climate i suppose?

Cheers,

Never seen such problems on my GSM iPhone 5. Albeit it's not that hot in here (Finland) - around 20-24C.
