Definitely iOS 7. It took a little bit of time to get used to, but once you start appreciating the details in the OS, you can't go back. This is absolutely the right step for Apple to have taken.

I feel bad that there was an "iOS7gate". It was mainly a consumer education problem. Version 7.0.3 fixed many gripes. And I am sure that they will keep revising and improving iOS.

iOS7 with iOS6 animations. Sick of waiting for my phone to finish being an attention whore about its animations every time I do anything.

Reduce motion seems to help at least a bit with that kind if thing now.

25% like iOS 6 ey?
Vocal minority in this forum complaining left and right makes so much sense now.

Clearly iOS6. 7 has gained nothing useful for me and the usability and look&feel is worse.

Could not go back to iOS 6. In some ways I like the iOS 6 look better, but the usability and general refinement of iOS 7 is so much nicer. iOS 7 feels like a very modern OS.

Actually no that doesn't make sense at all. People don't complain about the entirety of iOS 7; they complain about some glaring flaw in it. Despite the pretty annoying flaws in iOS 7, it's still obviously better overall than iOS 6. Doesn't mean that everyone who complains about anything is full of crap or a vocal minority.

It's like a Lamborghini Aventador vs VW Golf poll, except the Aventador forum is full of people complaining about fuel economy.

iOS 5.

It had the classic look that made iOS so popular, and it had all the important features like iCloud and Notification Centre. And it's better than iOS 6 because it still had Google Maps and the old YouTube app. It also had a better looking music app as well. In my opinion iOS 5 was the most complete and refined version of iOS ever released.
iOS 6 felt rushed, and iOS 7 is just crap.

This x 1000!!! Not to forget iOS5 had the classic App Store app that was "redesigned" in iOS6... bleh.

The majority shows: the amount of complaining and whining on this forum is from the vocal minority.

Absolutely! Over the last few years, on certain subjects, this forum seems to have attracted the "never satisfied with anything" brigade (I seem to remember someone suggesting it was renamed MacMoaners!). Perhaps this poll will convince them that they are, in fact, the not so silent minority!

If I hadn't experienced a massive battery drain with iOS7 then I wouldn't have come here to 'moan'. My drain wouldn't go away by switching off all the battery hogging features and it wouldn't go away with a clean install. I came here for answers. Sure some people moan about trivial stuff but I've found the forum to be full of people who like their iPhones but are experiencing issues....and fanboys who defend anything Apple do. The latter aren't helpful and if they are experiencing zero problems with their devices then one wonders why they're even here at all.

So basically Apple should have just stopped developing iOS after iOS 5. Things cannot stay the same forever, Nokia and Blackberry stayed with the status quo and look where they are now.

I don't think he was saying that. He merely said that in his opinion iOS 5 was the last great iPhone o/s. Sure things have to move on but it's like new cars....when a manufacturer brings out a 'facelift' new version of an outgoing model which actually looks more ugly than its predecessor....is that progress or change for the sake of it? Sure Apple should continue to develop iOS, refresh the look and add new features to it but it should never be overall worse than the outgoing version. A tricky thing to do but that's why these design and development guys get paid so much.

No, Apple should have opened up and enrich the OS (imessage protocol for 3rd parties, themes, enhancements, etc.), instead of dumbing it down (iOS7) and fixing what wasn't broke (maps, music app, etc.).

I certainly concur with your comments. I may be looking at the past through spectacles that may be slightly rose coloured, but this form is great in order to report problems and solicit help and opinions from members. It's surprising how much can be learned from other people's experience.

Posts such as "I can't go back to iOS6 from iOS7 and I'm going to damn everything Apple" and "I had to reset Bluetooth when I updated to iOS7 - WTF!" tend to grate as they fall into the category of complaining just for the sake of it. In my opinion, they serve no constructive purpose and appear to have been written by people who seem to get some sort of satisfaction from posting just for the sake of it.

No doubt some will disagree with my comments, but they are my personal opinions.

I find it absolutely incredible how would someone like the old YouTube app of iOS!!! What a peace of garbage it was!! It just tells you that people would love any peace of carp that has gone and is not any longer in the table!!

I don't think you've been on this forum dude. I understand people have problems with features (myself included) but some flat out exaggerate about everything. Then they go on to say something along the lines, "Never buying Apple", "How could they do this?!?!" Etc.

Point - just because people in this forum are bitching non stop, doesn't mean everyone everywhere is. That is the vocal minority.

I am torn between iOS 6 and iOS 7. I think that iOS 6 looks so much better on the iPad. I have not updated my iPad 4 yet but have had experience with iOS 7 on my brother's iPad. I prefer the look of 6 on it, it has a sophisticated look and feel to it. On my iPhone, its a draw. I loved 6 on my 4. It was great in every way. I got my 5S last week and I love it too. The change is nice and I think that iOS 7 looks better on the 5/5S and iOS 6 looks better on 4/4S.

There are a lot of things I like about ios7 but I just hate the look of it. ios6 just had more class. It looked like it was made for adults. iOS 7 looks like a cheap toy. The whole flat look is just bad. I haven't found anyone who likes it. They all say "eh, you get use to it" or more often "I just hate it!" I'll be forced to use it more often very soon as I plan on buying a new iPad, but I hope they fix the horrible look eventually. There is at least one app that I own that got so many bad reviews for it's new iOS 7 look, that it had to go back.

I was in same camp. I thought it looked hideous and yellow everywhere. After some testing I realized I got screen with strong yellow tint. After exchange I think it looks much better, to the point that I new features and hardware out weight loss of classy look. I feel better about upcoming iPad upgrade now

Love iOS 7 - without a doubt...

Of course it has some minor irritations, but I am pretty confident these will be ironed out...

No ads, simple UI. I prefer it over the official YouTube app.

Obviously apps like Jasmine are a lot better, but you could download that on iOS 5 so it's a moot point.

iOS 7

Love the colours, the simplistic flat design and features.

Good start to a new iOS
