iOS 8.0 Beta 2 Bug Fixes and Changes

Don't have beta 2 installed, but reading about the camera/microphone color change in the Messages app, is there still something that would indicate whether or not your message would be sent as an iMessage?

Also if sending a text message, the camera color does change to green still.

When you turn on the flashlight in Control Center, the little switch on the flashlight icon now changes position to indicate that the light is on or off. Can't recall if this was in iOS 7, too, but if so, it was definitely broken in iOS 8 b1.

Yes sorry I made multiple quotes on it. The Send button does go blue or green. The camera icon still turns green for text messages but stays gray for iMessage

Battery Life
Known Issue: Extensive console logging of NCLaunchstats may be a cause of reduced battery life.
Workaround: Launch Notification Center, then reboot the device.

I already said this but nobody noticed me... The slide to unlock on the lock screen is now kind of glowing with a visible border. See the picture!

Now under battery usage by app, it now includes no cell coverage.

I see Sprint is excellent with their coverage

Even if you're not charging your phone, you can use the Hey Siri command when Siri is already up on the screen.

in german the lock screen text changed from slide to unlock to just "unlock"

In the mobile network setting the option to turn of LTE on or off is gone, instead I get 3G to turn on or off.

edit: LTE option is back after a restart

Yes, in Beta 1 a new Spotlight search does open with the cursor at the end of the previous search string. Not sure I would have ever noticed the change though - I guess you must be a big Spotlight user!

Haha yes, I pretty much open all my apps like that cos I'm too lazy to sort them out, delete all the junk apps and put the ones I use in memorable places. This is a positive change for me. Thanks for confirming

Just attempted to start a new iMessage. After selecting the recipients, and touching the text field, it locks up. Anyone else?

In addition I found that if you go into contacts and touch "Send Message" for that contact, Messages open but just shows your current list of messages. Does not open a new one. Already sent a bug report but....am I seriously the only one with this?

I just checked , it's there on iOS 7.1.... I had never noticed it
