iOS 8.1 and iPhone 6 Plus better?

Lag is still present for me. Wunderlist, rotating with keyboard up, some games, etc. I've seen no change.

I changed my display view from "standard" to "zoomed" and turned off transparency. I see no lag whatsoever system wide.

this does cut down lag for me ALOT but then no advantage to getting the 6+ compared to the 6 as you aren't using 1080p not good.

First apple device I have used that has let me down this way! Steve Jobs had the right attitude with his hardware and software...

Thats what I thought initially, but the GPU is actually rendering at 1125 X 2001 instead of 1242 X 2208. So your GPU is rendering a lot closer to the native resolution of the display. And at that resolution it is still rendering at higher (albeit slightly) than 1080p and downscaling.

Like I said, I initially thought it was rendering the iPhone 6 display and scaling it up to 1080p. But upon taking a screen shot and seeing the dimensions, it is really rendering at 1125 X 2001. So you still get fantastic pixel density and better performance.

Most app elements (games excluded depending on the game) will be a tad bigger, and that comes down to personal preference. I do a lot of gaming so its not a big deal to me. The added frame rate is worth it IMO.

Instead of switching to zoom, you can try reducing contrast and reduce motion. That will turn off the animations (I've always found them a little gimmicky anyway).

Hasn't helped mine. Still won't consistently stay connected to any wifi networks. Also kept hanging up when trying to restore from backup so I gave up and set up as new again. The 6th time I've had to do that since getting it!
Seems to freeze up on me more than the earlier versions.

Plus side: T-mobile wifi calling finally started working at my school and work!
Battery life still decent.

Overall, no better than 8.0 or 8.02 (thankfully I skipped 8.01!)
Pretty sure this will be my last Apple Product.

I think it could be an iPad 3....Vine updated to the higher resolution for the 6 Plus and it crawls now...kik is also super slow at scrolling.

Other things seem better but there is still lag, especially with Vine right now.

Yes. it's so subjective and dependent on an individual's configuration and applications that a discussion isn't interesting at all.
