Does anyone use an Airplay speaker? I am curious if they have fixed the issue I am having when selecting my airplay speaker and playing a song. What often happens is that I will select my Airplay speaker while playing a song on my iPhone 5s (currently running 8.1.1) and after a few seconds the speaker will get deselected and go back to iPhone and the song will get deselected as well. Its as if something crashes. If I reselect the speaker and then select the song it will usually then work. I had hoped that 8.1.1 would fix this and it seemed to when I tried it right after upgrading but later the same problem happened.

I submitted the issue on (Bug Reporter) bugreport.apple.com and after giving them crash logs and info they marked it as a Duplicate of 18220843 (Closed). So at least they know about it but I am disappointed that this has been an issue since 8.0.

I *think* it is fixed, but it's an intermittent issue, so I'm not totally sure yet. I've had 8.2 installed for 7 hours now and I haven't had a double notification yet, so I'm feeling hopeful, but I'm not sure I'm ready to definitely call it fixed yet.

Thanks, keep us updated

Your post history has a lot of rhetorical sarcasm. Am I not allowed to state if a valid problem on my device has been/or needs to be fixed? Do I need to link you to the iOS 8 bugs thread where people have the same issues as me? Am I not apple enough for you that you feel the need to downplay my issues?

You really spent time reviewing my post history because I stated an issue thats happening to you isn't for me? I wish I had your amount of free time.

Can someone please try the camera on a 6 and see whether it still has the "watercolour effect"? It's been theorised that it's a software issue.

I have a 6 on 8.2 and I'm happy to try, but what's the watercolor effect?

Siri Doesn't Dictate Unread Messages (Bluetooth)

Hi....can someone confirm if this has been fixed within 8.2 B1?
I believe its a known bug when prompting Siri to dictate unread messages she replies with "No Messages" even when there are unread messages
Many thanks!!

What exactly is "dictate unread messages"? Do you simply mean read unread messages (and if so, could it be an issue related to how it's phrased and how Siri understands it)?

Hi....yes I mean Siri read back unread text messages
There are a few ways to request this from Siri but it seems to be broken with any request
Hoping 8.2 fixes it.....it is broken whether connected to a Bluetooth device or not
If anyone is running 8.2 can they test to see if this has been fixed?
Thanks

Just tried it and it read the name and message for me no problems.

loaded beta 1 and still having the same issue where siri does not read back any recent incoming unopened messages......tried on the phone handset and also using bluetooth headset and neither worked

frustrating that this feature is broken with iOS 8

Its beta 1, not 2.

Worked for me since 8.0.

Yes I get exactly this along with the wi-fi problems of 8.1.1

Used a website to register my UDID is it possible to go from 8.1.1 to 8.2? Because I had beta 8.1.1 installed then the OTA came out for gold 8.1.1. Is it possible to get 8.2 on OTA as well or do I have to use the ipsw to update?

They better fix the performance. It's kind of insulting to buy a 6+ on launch day and have so many safari crashes, cut and paste still is buggy. (It will paste something I copied a while ago, not the current text I copied)

The pasting of something copied long ago is a HORRIBLE bug and led to a very embarrassing text incident. That left me bitter and is probably the moment I decided it was time to get off the apple train.

I truly feel sorry for all of those who are experiencing so many issues. I got my iPhone 6 a week ago and promised myself that when it came in, I would set the phone up as a clean install of 8.1.1. I can honestly say I haven't had a single problem.

I'm not saying that any of you aren't experiencing real issues, however, I'm just confused as my own personal experience has been nothing but awesome.

Does amyone know if 8.2 improved ipad air 1 and mini 2 performance? Did they fix the frequent stutters?

I saw a video of the iPhone 4S running 8.2 B1 and performance was improved a fair bit. Does anyone has 8.2 on an iPad 2?? I'm interested if the performance gains from the 4S carry over! :)
