isn't there some way - through jailbreaking or a signature server like saurik or Doulci - to bypass the signature step?

I've spent hours trying to get my 4S from 6.1.3 to 7.1.2 and can't believe there is no workaround.

You cannot do this, don't waste your time.

Did not plan to upgrade to IOS8 at all, but apparently my ip 4s decided last weekend to give me the "recovery mode" message. Of course I was forced to do the restore from the itunes, and of course that apple forced and pushed the IOS 8.0.2 version to my phone. Thank you very much for that. As from the first boot there are only problems with the phone. Random rebooting, wifi dropping, random exits from the apps. I even posted a picture in another thread where the numbers on the dialpad are missing sometimes. Reboot helps from time to time, but the problems are here and they are making my phone unusable. Thank you very much apple.

Restore as new. Then resync your contacts, reminders, notes, etc via iCloud.

I have a 4S on iOS 8.0.2 and while its not as fast as my iPhone 6 its still usable. I think I only had 1 or 2 spring board crashes and very few app crashes. The apps you listed for the most part work fine.

I'm not saying its perfect but much better then what you are describing.

Thanks for reply, but I did that at least 2-3 times, and the results are the same. It works maybe hour or two and then the problems start to accumulate. The most frustrating one is the wifi disconnection which then denies download and sync with apps on the cloud.
