does anyone else with iphone 6 have an issue where performance in general, all app & ios itself etc, gets stuttery & unsmooth after about a day of uptime? rebooting temp fixes it, reverting to ios 8.2 b5 fixes it permanently, restore as new does nothing (as always, its overrated). i have background refresh off as always

Mine will lag out slowly as well till nothing moves when u touch it or double click home button. On iPhone6 plus 64gb.

Intermittently, yes. It doesn't happen consistently for me, but I've seen it a few times. If I keep using it in that state for long enough, the springboard will crash, which causes it to revert to normal speed again. It's an issue I saw on the original 8.0 public release that seemed to fixed in 8.0.1 but has now returned.

the music app still does not remember the last position? smh thats been a pain the the d .... since iOS 8 been released

This really bugs me also, if it is what I am thinking of. I usually go and search for an album and listen to it at night then the next night go back to music to listen to it again and it shows on the screen for a few seconds (like it knows where I was), then goes back to the main list of songs and I have to search all over again.

YES!!!! its the worst. always jumps right back to "A"

Experiencing this on my iPhone 6 Plus. Rebooting fixes the stuttering for around a day or so for me.

Is it possible to downgrade to 8.2 beta? Since that one can be jailbroken...

As long as a firmware is being signed, it can be restored to.

Simply put it in DFU and alt-click on Restore and select the IPSW.

Any word on them fixing an issue where any embedded videos in safari pause all background audio and then remove them from control center - so you have to go back to your music or podcast app to unpause? It's not an issue unique to this build but I was hoping it'd get fixed at some point soon.

It said that before no? Maybe I'm just imagining things. Worth noting that I do have previews turned off all the time. I don't want my message showing on the lock screen.
I finally had a chance to test this. 8.1.3 doesn't show Attachment when a picture comes through. 8.3 beta 2 does.

I believe I saw this for the first time today on an iPhone 5S running iOS 8.3 beta 2. Everything I did on my phone stuttered, dropped frames, appeared to hang randomly and would then clear up for a moment and then something else would lag.

A hard reset (hold power off and home button for ten seconds until apple logo appears) resolved the issue - I should note that I hard reset my device once a week and this was two days since the last hard reset.

Hopefully this will be resolved when iOS 8.3 beta 3 releases on Monday. #

Those must have been the gold old days where you did not use a beta operating system on your production device.

iOS 8.3 beta 2 Bug Fixes and Changes

If 8.1.3 was stable enough i would not be a beta tester!!! Believe me

I am curious, where do you see so much lag? I mean, on my 5s the only lag I get is when CC hangs in the middle of the animation, scrolling through albums in the music app and sometimes a very insignificant and tiny lag when scrolling in 3rd party apps. In term of lag, I would rate ios 8 9.5 out of 10. Can someone with a 5s, 6 and 6 plus tell exactly where they see lag? I am just curious.

I'm not sure if you're talking about the released or beta iOS, but I've seen lag on iOS 8 ever since day 1 that was not there in iOS 7. That includes all the places you mentioned. I never used to see a hiccup in scrolling. I put iOS 8 on my 5S when it came out, and assumed it would be better when I got my 6+ that I pre-ordered. Nope. It's really not that significant, I've gotten used to it, but it was jarring when it first happened because it literally never used to.

Far more important to me though is going back to a hierarchical artist->album->album songs structure in the music app that approaches some sort of logic, sense, or useability.

To be clear, what I described earlier is new to me. During the beta period and for each beta release, I restore my device with the new beta and setup as new and did the same for iOS 8.3 beta 2. Beginning yesterday, virtually every app I used and or action I made resulted in a stuttering delay in opening the app or the action I made. When I say everything, I mean everything - launching the phone app resulted in the launch animation stuttering ridiculously, swiping down for the notification center resulted in the animation stuttering as it was pulled into view, scrolling in every app I tried often resulted in horrid stuttering. I'm not one to exaggerate. It was bad and this is an new iPhone that's less than six months old. This continued all day until I performed a hard reset to restart the device.

No idea what caused this behaviour but for those that experience it often, this is crazy and would surely make the iPhone and or iPad experience a very bad one. Hopefully, this will be resolved in the next beta (unless of course it's debugging code that's part of the betas, then we'll have to wait until GM).

I had an issue with the new Emoji keyboard where it would lock up after trying to select a different tone by holding down on one

Theres a music sync issue that results to artist and albums being mixed up. Happens in both iOS 8.3 betas.
(Bug Report just filled)

Besides a lockup here and there, but my T-Mobile iPhone 6 plus has been running pretty good compared to 8.1.3.

I am having a bit of an issue where for some unknown reason my data connection stops completely. I was watching Netflix via LTE and about every 2 hours I wasn't able to resume house of cards, use safari, or do anything Internet related. I tried using airplane mode to restart my connection without success. Every time I need to restart my phone in order to get the internet working again.

Anyone else having this issue?
