So far 8.4 Beta 4 has been working great. The performance has been good. I like the new Music app. I haven't noticed a change in battery life yet. I am running it on my iPhone 5s and upgraded OTA from Beta 3. The only issue I have had so far is when I used Siri to call my Mom. I had told Siri who my mother was in my contacts so in previous versions of iOS you can just say "Call Mom at Home" and Siri would dial my moms home phone number. When I tried it after upgrading to 8.4 Beta 4, Siri came back and said "Sorry I am unable to do that for some reason" or "Something is wrong". I tried a few times but kept getting that error. However, after I rebooted my iPhone it was working again.

This isn't an issue with this specific Beta, but I am frustrated that Airplay is still glitchy as it has been since 8.0 was released on September 17, 2014. When I am playing a song in the Music player and then select the Airplay icon and choose my Airplay Speaker, after a few seconds the Airplay speaker will be deselected and then it will select the iPhone again (as if something crashes and resets) and it also clears out the music selection I was playing in the Music player. The work around is to stop the music, then select the Airplay speaker then start the music. I reported this bug to Apple over 6 months ago and then closed the ticket saying that it was a known issue. Oh well. Hopefully it is fixed in iOS 9.
Have you tried it in the iPad2? the upgrade to ios8's from 7 have resulted in Safari having significant performance problems. Would be interested in hearing about your experiences.

In the music app, mine is no longer showing that large photo under the artist/album view. Just a blank space. Is that something new in beta 4?

please can anyone tell me about performance and animation ..!!!
What about it? It hasn't really been something that was one of the parts of iOS 8.4 so far--pretty much no better or worse than it was before it would seem.

I got you .... but did you mean performance or animation..!!

How did you downgrade? Can you update to 8.3 from 9.0?
In my experience, first, you should have a full version beta software.
Second, you need to use your iTunes to update your software to the beta version you want to update.

Hello I'm new here and having a problem with itunes match. When I open iphone music app it starts to download random songs and when I cancel them it starts to download other songs. And when I turn of icloud music library it turns on itself therefore I cant sync via itunes...

When playing music with the music app, when I rotate my phone into landscape mode, the phone / music app does not rotate at all

Landscape mode is gone on iOS 8.4. And that alone will keep my on iOS 8.3

Latest 8.4 beta seems to straight up brick the Music app. All it displays is the Apple Music splash screen, on my iPhone 6 Plus. The only way I can get my iPhone to play any music is selecting the track on my Apple Watch and triggering playback.

They add Apple Music, but they provide nothing to allow users bypass it in this beta. And then, all are gone.
Thankfully I didn't install this beta on my iPhone, otherwise, you know.

by the way.. we couldn't see an update for facebook nearly 1 month :) i wonder what's going on around there :)
Probably some update didn't meet their release deadline or had some issues and they are working on having it sorted out for the next release date that they have. Or potentially they might be working on a larger redesign of some sort which is taking longer.

The music app is sort of a mess on this most recent beta. Concerning considering this is probably the final beta before GM and Apple Music.

Every time a new song comes on my phone slows way down. When I enter the Music app it takes a second or two before I can interact with it.

I have Martin Garrix on my phone and the artwork displayed isn't him. Anyone else have this issue?

All my iTunes Match music seems to be missing... It still shows up on my Mac (El Capitan Beta) but doesn't show up on my iPhone (6 plus) running 8.4 beta 4 or iPad mini running 9 beta 1. Anyone else seeing this?

My 6+ with ATT is having a hell of a time with everything phone related. Sometimes messages won't load, sometimes I can't play voice mail, sometimes Siri tries to connect says who I am attempting to call and then returns to home screen. The screen is just unresponsive on many of the "phone" screens.

On another note the App switcher completely doesn't work. It shows the small windows and either freezes or returns to the home screen after a long pause.

For me the crummiest beta so far. I've restarted and restarted, no change.

yes..only 1 week left.. and by the way..have you got the same glitch?
yeah but you said hopefully. they announced it will be the 30th.

it's not a reboot. it only appears like it does because it shows the Apple logo you see when booting. It's actually a springboard crash and i have no way to be sure, but it doesn't necessarily mean Swarm caused it. Random resprings have been an issue for a lot of people in iOS 8. The logs produced for those crashes are named "jetsam". Report it in the Feedback app and make sure to attach your crash logs
