Try using FaceTime. It doesn't work as well. Most of the screen is black and the video window doesn't take up all screen.

In Mail.app the keyboard stays in portrait mode, even if you hold the device in landscape mode.

The AppStore many times doesn't display search results.

Of course all these things are normal in beta software. You can use it daily (as I do also), but only if you are prepared to accept any issues that might occur.

Did you go into Settings and turn off the Split Keyboard? I don't know why it came enabled.

Yes there is a problem with searching in the App Store.

Nope. Not because 'it's a beta' but because you won't get iOS 8 compatible apps until the GM period. I need my apps to work and my phone to work. Even the GM will have bugs. Most of the iOS 8 features aren't even applicable to the betas since we aren't getting iOS 8 apps.

In fact iOS 8 won't even be honed in until 8.1 and we get a lot of bug fixes for the OS and the apps. 7.1.2 is a honed in version of iOS 7 and I really like it. No reason to ditch it now that we have a really good version of iOS to use. 7.1.2 is far better than iOS 6. Let iOS 8 mature and the app guys will be busy all summer. Then enjoy it. Until then let the process work and let people do their jobs.

After Beta 2 I'm entirely happy with 3 as it is actually usable now. I should note that I don't use many apps so I'm not really bothered with those issues, iMessage appears to be working without any issues.

Beta 3 is good and stable for daily use. I've ues this now. :)

I still get anywhere from 10-15 resprings a day, and that's just the ones I notice. Music and podcasts also randomly just stop playing and the phone sometimes takes ten seconds after I click the button to actually wake itself up

Definitely shouldn't be used as a daily driver, even if that's what I'm doing right now

Beta 2 was far less buggy for me, so I went back to that on my only iPhone, which I use every day, and my iPad Air, which I use for work every day. Let's see what happens when beta 4 comes.

I'm on a fresh install and for a few days it was okay, then started to notice it was getting progressively worse. Luckily beta 4 is around the corner, and we will see, but I'll probably jump back to 7 a little after some testing of my apps are done.

So bumped up to b3 and not sure what everyone is on about but by far I only had 1 respring and the apps I use daily are running smoothly on it. Using it everyday now and so far no problem.
