Slightly silly question about reverting back to iOS 7...

I've got a proper dev account and really want to try it but I don't have a spare device to test on.... Apple say it's not possible to revert back to 7 once you install 8b1.... is this 100% the case or are there ways around it?

Last year I could revert back to the old iOS by booting into restore mode and doing it that way.

Can't imagine it'll be any different this year.

I signed up for my dev account between 7 and the 7.x betas so I was ok with those being a fairly quick turnaround with a stable(ish) base so I've not really had the need to try this so far, but would like to know whether reverting is actually possible before potentially crippling my iPad for a few months.

DFU mode specifically should* allow this, yep.

As long as apple is still signing ios7 you can go back using a dfu restore.. You will need a copy of the most current ios7. iTunes will not downloaded it for you

If you're in DFU, and you just hit restore, it should.

If you look at the pictures Apple are using for iOS 8, there is one of the call screen but with a picture covering the whole screen, can anybody confirm whether or not, full-screen caller photos are back?!?

Please can anyone check if they really brought back the full screen caller pictures in iOS 8?
They showed it during the beta for a second and it was full screen, and it's also shown that way here:

One user reported on the apple discussion thread that it's not full screen yet. Maybe you just have to re-add the photo or sync it with the Facebook app. They might have reverted back to the way it used to be before iOS 7.1, that it can be in a circle or full screen depending on the way you add it.

I just put a photo to one of my contacts and you're still stuck with the circle, I'll call myself with another phone to see if it has changed

Just booted it for the first time and the wifi seems to be struggling like I've never seen it before. Took a minute to sign into twitter and browse a website was a painful experience. Anyone else experiencing the same?

Can you add or remove people to the chats? I would assume not.

It gives me the option to add someone to a group imessage if that is what you're asking. I don't see the option to remove someone however. It does give ME the option to leave though which is nice.

Do those features actually work though? I would think everyone has to be on iOS 8.

one of the coolest things I noticed, which is straight out of the jailbreak scene, is when sending a picture in iMessage, it shows the most recent photos first...its hard to explain with words but here is a picture lol
