These random concepts are so stupid. Waste your time looking at something some random guy came up with that has absolutely zero connection to what Apple is planning internally.

I really like the idea, but he forgot a few things. One - the lock screen. Users with a new iPhone will have touch id and therefore a passcode lock. I guess the lock screen would just minimize, but it would be a bit strange.

The second is the app icons. If you have an app with high memory usage that bumps other apps out of memory they will switch to their launch images instead of their last state - that means you will just see blank interfaces and not know what app you are looking at.

But I really hate double tapping home. Since they already assigned the slide up gesture to something I wish they would have used it for multitasking instead.

meh.

All I really want is for all-day Events to show up in the Notification Center, and to have the option of non-white backgrounds... is it too much to ask

:(

I like the idea of combining the app switcher with the control center, however almost all of the controls that have been removed (brightness, flashlight, calculator, timer, and do not disturb) I happen to use quite often.

How about the flashlight? I use that quite a bit. Otherwise I like the concept here.

I really want a GPS on/off toggle added to control center. I do that multiple times a day so that my iPhone doesn't kill itself - by and far, that's the biggest power draw on an iPhone that's asleep.

Jail break already has a better alternative to double click. I use control center on the right half see slide up and multitasking left side slide up. You can also close apps with the left slide up instead of the home button.

Lately is either a lawsuit or a "concept". A concept made randomly is not a rumor nor news that I care

I like the way this looks, although I'm not crazy about the notification center laid under the rest of the interface.

I think it's a cool idea. I just hope there's no lag after an animation, like iOS 7. By that I mean after an animation, you have to wait about a second to do something else. I don't know if I can describe it any better.

No thanks, Control Center's swipe-from-bottom gesture already fails half the time as it is, causing touches to register in whatever app you're currently on. Not that this couldn't be fixed, but...let's not add fuel to the fire. I do agree, and have since the first iPhone, that something that requires efficiency such as multitasking should not be relegated to the slow home button. I'd suggest a two-finger swipe down for multitasking.

We'll probably see a launcher like this in the Android Play Store in a couple of months.... ;)

If iOS had the option of user-installed launchers like Android, we probably would have, too.

I generally love Apple's esthetics, but the functionality and even the UI of iOS are a bit stale in a few areas. And the keyboards suck, too. :p

Although i do not care much about launchers and customizations, i would really really like more keyboard options..Just downloaded the swiftkey app and i want that keyboard :) ..

Eh, no thanks!

It's a nice design but it removes functionality like Bluetooth, do not disturb, and brightness which is a very important control that was lacking quick access before Control Center. But I do prefer the swipe up as well!

It's gorgeous. I think this is only going to make me more disappointed with the real iOS 8 :(

LOL, that's exactly what I was thinking. iOS7 is so nasty it's successor hopefully won't 'improve' on AAPLs current design.

If the developer doesn't like double-clicking the home button to access multitasking, then just splay four or five fingers on the screen to access it.

if there's a delay between second click and multitasking, you probably have guided access on as iOS is waiting for a third click (if any).

disable guided access.

For me it's not the delay, it's pressing the home button three times by mistake and having the multitasking tab show up for a second n then disappear cuz of the third press. I like this concept design! :)

Well, they are not stupid. Its how software designers look for a job. Apple is constantly checking the internet for ideas coming from the Apple community. Its not like Apple designers are cut off from every type of communication with the outside world. If Apple likes some of the concept images, they will contact the creator and offer him a job. Its a way for the designer to show his portfolio to the world.

I like concept images made by the community, even if they dont show in any way what Apple is planning. However, they are good example of what we can achive with the current technology and how the things can get improved.

Nice concept. Needs app icon overlays, though.

And yes Apple, get rid of the double-tap, I suffer from exactly the same problem!

Then maybe don't read the story? Nothing wrong with having articles like this here as some do find them interesting, and nobody is forcing you to read it/watch the video.

I did what you did! I "Rolled my eyes". It was great. It made me feel like I knew this all along and that other people needed me to say that to them. And best of all? I felt like I was being sarcastic 'at a situation' - not an actual person or opinion!

Thank you, random forum member. I'll now use a rolling my eyes thing to stick it to the man from now on. Sarcasm's just great.

This is entirely untrue. Apple simply takes it if they see it. They don't offer these guys jobs. I've worked very closely with them for enough years to know that.

The delay between the second click and multitasking view showing? What are you on, an old Motorola V60i? There's barely any delay, if any at all.
