Yes and I hope you were not offended by my post. If so I do apologize and put emphases on "Funny to me" part in my post. Poor wording on my part and should have said (and meant) "Curious to me".

Absolutely no offense taken. I was happily surprised to see that section, but I'm also fine and happy to see people using it for more upbeat reasons.

Garmin Connect was updated and says HealthKit compatibility. 2 people on the Garmin forums claim it works but everyone else (including myself) can't get it to work.

If the HealthKit app is to be believed, I was able to connect my wife's Vivofit via the Garmin Connect app to HealthKit. It appears it will transmit Active Calories, Steps and Distance measurement. We shall see today if the activity is actually sent once we do a Sync tonight.

Did Garmin Connect show up under the Sources tab in Health or did your Vivofit device?

Or what is the procedure you went through to connect Connect (looks like bad grammar:eek:)?

I am interested to know more about Garmin too.

At the moment I don't have a single app under the 'Sources' in Health App. (I've installed garmin connect, whitings mate, nike running, run keeper, sleep cycle)..

How do I make then connected? Should it be automatic or I need to do something manually?

My HealthKit seems to have broken this morning. All data has deleted, keeps freezing, everything has been removed for the dashboard, and it won't' let me add it back.

It was automatic for me, downloaded it, opened it and it requested that Health be allowed to access data..

When you then log into health it appears under data sources and tells you what data it is pulling and pushing

Hmm, unlinked MFP, reset, and everything has reappeared. Have tried linking again and we keep an eye on it. Seemed to go wrong as the date changed, so will check tomorrow.

This happened to me last night as well, but before midnight so I would rule the date change out. I restarted my phone and everything was back in the health app.

I have had the Garmin update but it has not requested access to Health. Can't seem to get the 2 apps to talk to each other.

I just realized all the iHealth apps are now updated for HEALTHKIT they just didn't add it to the release notes!

Once I updated to the newest Garmin Connect app and launched it, the HealthKit toggles opened automatically. And since then, Garmin Connect shows up in sources.

Hm I have the latest my fitness pal and can't get it to lad any f my data in healthbook.

Weird.

I can't make a single app to connect with Heatlh app. I never got the question to connect when I install.

Any suggestions?

iOS 8 HealthKit Enabled Apps Megathread

Fitbit needs to be updated. It doesn't even work on the iPhone 6

I asked earlier what doesn't work but nobody has answered yet. I've got it on my iPhone 6 and the app seems to be working the same as it did on my 5.

Edit: okay, I see it's not counting steps live as I walk anymore if the app is open. It only gets the new data through syncing.

Fitstar issue?

I upgraded Fitstar to the latest. Previous Fitstar data seems to have been entered into the health app, which is great. However, now I'm having trouble getting the app to work properly.

-It started downloading the moves for my latest session but seems to get stuck on the last step after downloading the last move ("Finishing...")
-If I exit out of the app and go back in, I can't get into my session at all, I'm stuck on the main screen. Clicking the session does nothing. going to another part of the app just gives me the "Loading" spinning gear.
-The app seems to be doing...something. I have the spinning gear up by the wifi signal....but it's been doing that for a while.
-i've tried deleting the app and reinstalling, but the same thing occurs.
-I'm on an iPhone 6

Anyone else have trouble with Fitstar or have it working properly? Any thoughts or suggestions? I have contacted Fitstar for support, but wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this.
