Seriously .... why doesnt apple just add text formating to Notes and kill the yellow background instead of adding yet an other app that does almost the same ??

You can't save notes wherever you like.

Maybe you like having a hodgepodge of everything thrown together.

I prefer the neatness and organization of a filesystem.

Press command-T on your keyboard. Notes suddenly has formatting! ;)

No save location.

Personally I would love to see some sort of file systems where a "Downloads" folder would exist. I would also love the ability to access Network drives and Folders etc. This alone would be enough to retire my laptop and invest in a iPad Air. Please tell me if these features already exist but as I understand IOS does not support this today.

You can have 3rd party apps with support for SMB shares, but always remember, this is not the same as having a central file repository, or a native SMB share option.

SWYPE / Traceable Keyboard

 PLEASE... It's really the biggest thing I miss from my old Android phone... Please make the additional keyboard choice or allow another developer do it.

Don't kill me for asking, but what's the purpose of TextEdit now that Pages is free and we've had Notes since forever? I never use it on the Mac.

For those asking, both Text Edit and Preview on the Mac allow you to save files to their iCloud Silo.

These apps are simply a way for people who do that to get these documents on their iOS devices.

Given that, I strongly suspect they'll fall into the category of apps that are suggested when your phone is new (like the Podcast app or iTunes U) and not ones that are installed by default.

I like the idea of Preview being in iOS and if this app communication system is put in place this could be the beginnings of a central filesystem structure for iOS and OS X users to share.

What I mean, is that apps could push/store their documents into Preview's document area and with Preview being the main viewing application we can access all our files as needed. Moving over to OS X, just open Preview and now you have access to all those files.

....

Yes, I think preview hints towards a Finder funktionality. Store, organise and sync to my Mac would be helpful. But the way I know Apple, it will be very limited, making it useless in the end.

And... still hoping for keyboard shortcuts.
