Again, wifi issues on my iphone 6, that 8.1 supposedly corrected.

Happy your Yosemite install went well, though.

Cool. Take it back then. I had a wireless lemon on the 5 - took it back to apple plugged it in and they saw the problem and game me a new one. All fine.

It's completely YOUR problem, since I'm entitled to call myself a long time user (maybe longer than you, being an Apple user since 1989) and I'm totally satisfied with Apple policy. They are not doing everything right, for sure, but perfection is out of this world.
Surely Android isn't a better solution for me. Not even close...

"No, he really isn't. Apple has completely changed. The transition is almost complete. And they are smart as hell, as it seems like it's paying off to completely abandon some long-time users and go for the mass market with disposable items."

There. Fixed it. Panties un-bunched.

Like I said, you like where Apple is going/has gone? More power to you.

Enjoy.

I prefer Steve Jobs's, Android's, and Microsoft's take on UI design over Apple's current offerings. So yes, it sucks to be me.

Thanks, Captain.

Yeah my mum on her iPhone 4. She saw iOS 7 on my aunts iPhone 4 and said no way. I cannot really argue with her either as iOS 6 does look nicer.

I pray for you guys that think iOS 6 looks better. You love comic sans, too?

My iPhone 3GS is still on iOS 6.1.6, do you have a problem with that? :p

Haha no but your eyes are probably sad about it. :)

It has nothing at all about being stubborn, 3GS can't got beyond 6. I'm still using that phone. See, you do know someone like that. When stocks of 6+ finallly are not as tights by years end, I probably going to get the 6+.

Try it in the store first! I bought one after dreaming about a huge phone for years and I found it unmanageable. Hope you enjoy whatever phone you end up with!

Some of my iPad Air apps still quit while I'm using them, but I'm going go do a fresh install to see how that goes.

So you are telling me what I'll do 'if'? Typical generalization, seriously.

What I'm telling is, in fact, the opposite of what you are saying. Apple doesn't have to go back, they just should stop when they are unable to provide efficient upgrades.
I don't want ios 8 on old devices, I don't want any update that makes my device useless.
So basically, I couldn't care less to put ios 8.1 on my ipad 2, hopefully it still works with ios 7. Btw, I tried the 8 and immediately downgraded.

It's hard not to take offense when someone compared you to the little whining kids around here. But anyway, no offense taken.
Keep in mind, for the future, to read better other's arguments, because probably you didn't read so well mine.

No offense meant, not trying to argue! If you are saying what I think you're are saying? Sounds like you agree with me.#

I must have read it wrong, thanks for clarifying and setting me straight! I'm going back to college and work on my reading comprehension!#

Because something subjective can be right or wrong, rite?

Yes, this will be the last thing I'll try with the 5S. Thanks!

Good news, I've restored my 5S via iTunes and mentioned problems seem fixed now! So, everyone with camera and restart/respring problems, try to restore via iTunes, set as a new phone. Even so, don't forget to backup and transfer purchases in case you miss important stuff after.

You are right, and I add something: I'd really want Apple to limit its support at two years old devices. We'd have less whining threads about people complaining about poor performances on very old devices like the iPhone 4S or iPad 2.
But then we'd have threads about whining for the lazy Apple not supporting their iPad 2 ...

It's an endless game: whiners gonna whine

It is good that they are still supporting. But at the same time Apple should allow it customers to use what they want. It should not define what is best for the user we grown up people Apple :D. I be a enthusiast have upgraded to ios8 now left with no choice except using tortoise mobile (iphone 4s with ios8)!

Apple should find better ways to solve the app support for various ios versions. Simply obsoleting OS within an year is a ugly choice!

Support for older iOS versions would cripple their fragmentation damage control. IPhone 4S is an aging smartphone, still working just fine with iOS 8, but no more top notch.

I guess at the end, support must cease, so do older products, and while MS maintains more of a compatibility, even they ended support for XP.

No one can keep an iOS round forever, and i dread the day when Apple stops updating iOS7.x in the next few years or so.

But luckily for me, i decide what to do :),, The only way Apple can control me is get their goons on me..

You notice much issues not using updated apps?

Not so much with my iPhone. I use it primarily as a phone anyway and all of my other uses are minimal and the lack of updated apps has little to no effect on my usage.

My iPad though is a different story. Small was one that I didn't like losing when that was updated, and Facebook and other apps like that don't respond well. Once I decided not to worry about it and just let my kids use it, there have been no problems and they aren't generally concerned about app compatibility. Unless of course a Lego game isn't working the way that it should.
