iOS 9.1 Beta 4 Changes, Fixes & Bugs

Very happy with it on my 6+. iPad Air 2 running beautifully.

Absolutely agree. A home made trick for me is to turn off data use of Music app and play "recently played music list" when I outside home

It make you able to play your cached music without lost mobile data and without needing to turn on the offline music
 
Control center still not smooth on 5s. It's somewhere around 15fps. Smooth on the 5.

This is a lame reason not to fix bugs, IMHO. They have a gazillion engineers. I'm getting tired of tech companies not fixing obvious bugs simply because they're "not serious" ... Grrr!
 
The default wallpaper seems to have been changed a little in terms of perspective. The orange section is far more bottom left and the "scratch" line that used to curve down from halfway down top right to centre of the screen now curves just onto the screen beside the first app in the second row of icons.

Throwing more engineers at a problem isn't necessarily the way to fix it. It's possible that it's still a semi-elusive issue that isn't getting as much internal attention as other issues. iOS 9 does have some more pressing issues...such as the random freezing thing.
 
iOS now gives a new notification if you decline the Software Update at first time of asking.

You now get a notification that states:

iOS 9.1 Public Beta 4 can update automatically between 06/10/2015, 22:00 - 07/10/2015, 04:00 while connected to power.

It then offers two options:

Install Tonight
Or
Remind Me Later

That will catch some folk out.

This has been around for a bit...I think it was a 9.0 feature?

Anyone on an iPhone 5 that can check the performance for me? Is there still lag when launching apps?
 
It seems slightly snappier on my iPhone 6.

One nice animation gimmick I've just noticed (which may well have been there before): if you switch between two locations in the Weather app, and one or more has rain, the direction of the rain shifts momentarily as if responding to your swipe. Pretty, if pointless.
 
I want to download but moving to a flat with no wifi, and not sure the date of the beta expiring.

That's where I predominantly noticed "lag" or stutter on 9.0.2, albeit as I said in another thread it wasn't every single time, but it still happened.

9.1 beta 4 is a dream to use on the 6. Now installing on my Air 2 as I ... type.

LEt us know how it functions on the Air 2. Specifically for me Apple music scrolling and the tiny delay when opening some apps.

It's fantastic on the Air 2. I just changed my Apple Music to show all songs rather than sort by artist or album and the scrolling is super smooth. I'm one of the more OCD guys on here when it comes to iOS animations and I'm delighted with both my Air 2 and iPhone 6 on 9.1 beta 4.

Is this good enough to be a daily driver on the iPhone 6 yet? Anybody having issues that would drive an OCD cat like myself nuts?

I put it on my iPad Air and all seems well, but putting it on my phone is a whole other story.
