Ok people...I know the switcher has changed compared to iOS 8...I'm talking about the size of the cards to the left in this PB 3 compared to PB 2.....ALL cards are the same size.

Before (PB 2):

Now (PB 3) :

Not on iPhone 5s

File picker in Safari has changed?

Not sure if PB3 or not though..

I hope they adopt that everywhere, much better use of space for context menus and such.. The current options (I.e. Tap the camera in a message) just seem massively oversized..

Good change, me likey.

This was in PB 2 (I believe), can't recall about earlier

Ah ha! I figured it out. They added something new to the setting Reduce Motion. I always have this on. I tried switching this off and the app switcher changed back. So, now we know this setting affects the App Switcher
That's interesting. And would probably explain why it hasn't been something all that noticeable for many.

The latest developer beta isn't all the same size they are like the first photo

you are still connected to your local area network just fine, it's just that it has no outside connection. It seems that this isn't to detect whether or not the network you connect to has an outside connection but how weak of a connection signal you have to the network you are connected to.
In my experience, crappy WiFi is more often due to the network's backhaul being *****, not the layer 2 connection to the wireless network itself.

A good implementation of this would account for both scenarios.

A more robust implementation would certainly try to account for a lot of things, but an implementation that accounts for being at the fringes of WiFi coverage where it's enough to still have a connection to a WiFi spot but not great enough to do much with that connection, it's still something. I'm not saying it can't be better (or shouldn't be better), I'm just saying that this particular feature, at this particular stage of it, could be mainly relevant to that type of scenario than anything else that goes deeper and beyond that.

Mystery resolved ;)

Has hand-off been extended ?

I thought it was only for handing off phone calls ?

I would have thought with what all this kewl little wifi or other animations and more emoji's that Apple puts in iOS,it would eventually reduce battery.

Those new red, black and blue feather wallpapers look like something inspired by Angry Birds...

Does anyone know what happened to the feature that allowed for renaming of group texts? It used to be in the Details pane, just above the names of people in the group – but it seems to have disappeared in all versions of the beta so far.

Is it just me or does Safari display google searches differently? Something seems "different" but I can't quite pin it down.

This beta is much smoother on my iPad mini 1st gen as well. Even faster than 8.4. Lovin' it!

I really don't like that black backgrounds with stuff in the middle. I find they work better on the Apple Watch due to the (attempt) to blend the display in with the bezel. But with a non-OLED display there's no point, you can't hide that boundary.

Other ones look great though. Will have to give them a go.

The Audio-book part in iBooks has has finally been fixed! now one can see the titles of the individual chapters both with large m4b-files and mp3-files that are tagged as Audio-books. This issue is has been around since iOS 7 i believe. I did test this with two audio books i've purchased from iTunes and I don't know if they are Lazy? I used to make audiobooks using an app Called Audiobook Builder before it was quick and easy just to retag an mp3/m4a-file Note that the app is made for books using covers that are the size of CD's i've been going to great length to getting the rectangular book covers for my audio books. Oh well...

WTF! They removed recent contacts from the multitasking screen. Now I have to go to the home screen and swipe left, just so I could see my desktop Safari websites. Is it just me or did they really drop the ball here. Everything is just so easy on Android. I don't understand Apple's design philosophy.

Seems like most people didn't even know about recent/favorite contacts as most don't even go to the recent apps screen (and would find it odd that it's there anyway).
