I checked some YouTube videos of iOS 9 Beta 1 and the size's haven't been changed at all. Perhaps it just looks different for yourself?

No, they were def different, I have complained about this from the beginning, that I found it disorienting. I just looked this up in youtube and there is a very slight size difference in the apps, now they are DEF the same size.

This vid shows how it used to look prior to this new PB, it is VERY obvious there is a change. Maybe you are using a DEV (not a PB) build so this has been around for a bit, but this IS new for us PB users.

I haven't noticed it either, I've been running since Beta 1, switcher cards are now on the left. Not sure which version that changed on though

Ok people...I know the switcher has changed compared to iOS 8...I'm talking about the size of the cards to the left in this PB 3 compared to PB 2.....ALL cards are the same size.

They are referring to the way icons sit at the top of each page. So they are way out of reach. Double tapping the home button brings them closer down for a moment so you can get them.
Don't fill up a page with apps and folders ... see how they collect at the top of the page and you empty space at the bottom? That's the issue, you can't have that empty space at the top of the page.

Oh okay, I see what you are saying. As opposed to Android where you can arrange icons anyway you'd like and have blank areas between them. Thanks

I'm trying to figure out what you are referring to? What auto arranging? I'm totally curious now.

As for the double touch home button to slide the screen downwards, that works wonderfully for me. Awesome solution.

When you move an icon all the other icons automatically shift to the top left of your home screen. I'd like to be able to keep the top two or three rows blank so I don't have to double tap which even if it works well for you it's less efficient and a still wastes time when you need to get to something super quick. While I'm at it would be nice to be able to resize the icons and add rows and columns to customize how many icons you can have on each page. Why I went back to Android although my S6 I find has some crashing issues and performance issues so both platforms could be a lot better but I'll deal with the odd app crash/bug for a more efficient Android UI. Plus iOs releases have been pretty buggy since ios 8 so I'm not missing that either. I'm hoping the iphone 7 comes with some big ios changes not just a basic skin change like in ios 7 and sloppy feature add ins. I thought it was going to be a blessing when they got rid of Forstal and it's ended up being a curse.

Is Beta 5 called "Public Beta 3"? Because that's what came up on my phone to update.

Public beta 3 may or may not be the EXACT same as Dev Beta 5, but it's the lastest PB that was released the same day as Dev Beta 5

Kind of off-topic, but several years ago Apple announced a feature of the then-new iOS version which was supposed to fall back to your cellular data connection when your wifi connection was weak. I'm surprised that with a modern iPhone and iOS 8 I still have problems where I'm connected to a weak wifi signal and my phone don't fall back to my five bars of LTE coverage. Hoping that feature eventually comes for internet usage too.

Yes! I kept waiting for this and thought I had dreamed it. What the F ever happened to that feature?

"If you're a part of the iOS public beta, you can update now and start using Wi-Fi Assist right away. You can find it in Settings under the "cellular" section."

Developer betas and public betas have basically been the same subsequent builds once public betas started. It's more that people mostly didn't notice a smaller change like that.

It's funny that people will miss a change like this but spot that the battery icon in settings has rounded corners.

hey! I found all the wallpapers in HiRes on Mega or DropBox, link here http://bit.ly/1MdtynM :D

Thanks but why upload to mega? That site has never ever worked for me. It'l download but hang at 99% or freeze. Each time.

EDIT: works in an older version of firefox.

The first couple of versions of iOS 8 gave a few issues (the copy paste bug was so #&@#$% frustrating, I still find myself trying to tap too fast from trying to catch it) but Forstall had to go. I'd rather have some feature growth and a few growing pains than a stagnant OS that hardly adds any new features. Look how long it took to get the control center.

I don't mind the app rearrange but i also like the freedom in Android. To me it's six is one half dozen of another. Both work, it's personal preference. I fall into the more backside retentive camp so I prefer iOS but after having used Android quite a bit i can see why people prefer the UI differences.

I'm on PB3 and my switcher cards look like your PB2 screenshot with the cascade rather than your PB3 screenshot. This is the case on both my iPad and phone.

Ah ha! I figured it out. They added something new to the setting Reduce Motion. I always have this on. I tried switching this off and the app switcher changed back. So, now we know this setting affects the App Switcher

Except that some carriers in Canada charge roaming, I believe, when Wi-Fi calling is used abroad.

As crazy as that sounds, I could've sworn I read at least one post from a Canadian recently who said that Wi-Fi calling was treated as roaming by their carrier when used outside of Canada. I have no idea how the carrier would manage to charge roaming on a Wi-Fi call but according to that person, they do.

Edit: Here's a screenshot of the Rogers Wireless Wi-Fi calling plans in Canada. They don't say anything about international roaming or international long distance with Wi-Fi calling. If AT&T does something like this, Wi-Fi calling will be useless unless you're somewhere in the U.S. that has no cell service but has Wi-Fi:

There is no way AT&T releases this feature without attempting to monetize it. I would be shocked if they didn't treat international wifi calling as roaming.
