how are you able to download it? i got the same message as everyone else but find theres no update.

I agree. I got it on all my devices running Beta. If they are downloading, maybe they did not have the latest beta? Just a guess as it seems no one else can download it.

I got it this morning as well as soon as I plugged my phone in

I have ios 9 beta 5 (developer) on both my iPhone 6 plus and iPad air 2 and haven't received this message (I'm from the UK)

Happens every year. The GM is the release candidate.

Well there are internal release candidates I'm sure, but we never see them. The GM is intended to be the same as public release unless there is any major bug discovered in the week between GM and PR.

I hope this doesn't mean we've reached the expiration date of this beta.
They have done that before. Released a beta on the weekend because the previous beta was expiring.

I wanted to share something I thought was interesting. I too got the message this morning, but when I went into software update I got this message. I have retried a couple times both on wifi and cellular. I do have a dev account so I don't know if that has something to do with it.

don't updates usually start at 10am pt? maybe in about 56 minutes well see what happens =)
Just not on a Sunday, especially on a long holiday weekend, and especially a few days before an event where the GM would be released. I guess on the very off chance that there's some critical enough bug that really needs to be addressed, it might happen, but even then they wouldn't really wait for some usual 10 AM timeframe and just get it out as soon as they were ready to release it.

Same here. I even connected my iPad to my laptop because I thought the update might have to be installed that way.

So I was messing around with the date on my phone and I noticed a weird pop up about beta iOS 9 appear but I dismissed it by accident before reading it. So I tried the same thing on my iPad and got the attached pop up. Anybody else seeing this? Does it mean that the GM may be coming tomorrow??!! I've never seen this in betas before.

Try this on your iOS 9 beta 5 device and let me know if you see it.

What do you guys make of this?

I had the same message. What does GM mean?

Anyone else's push services not working since the pop-up?
You know when you're on iMessage on your Mac, your phone and other devices shut up about it.

My friend and I were having a conversation and the phone kept "waking up" and delivering notifications, kinda annoying.

GM stands for Golden Master. It is the version of iOS 9 that will ship on all new devices, like the iPhone 6s. Apple has to have the GM ready in time to load it on all of the brand new iPhones before they can be shipped.

There are not going to be any updates until the keynote on Wed. It is also a holiday, they generally do not release on a holiday Monday.

I suspect what is happening is that Apple is uploading the GM build to their CDN servers around the world and this triggered the software update prompt by accident.
