Does anyone know what the low-power mode actually does? Edit: nevermind. Either I'm crazy or the article was updated after I posted this.

Seems like it copies the low power mode in BBOS 10.3. Which is nice, because now I can stop carrying the Z10 and just put everything on my iPhone 6+

ive been getting terrible battery life on my iphone. hoping a fresh install of iOS 9 will help

in other news the new font sucks
Could you clarify on it, "sucks". Do you mean it has a personal negative connotation to you? Or you believe it's less legible on non retina devices? Or...? So far it's be well received by the millions who have Apple Watches but interested to hear what you dislike about it over the previous font?

I feel that Apple is taking baby steps in technology and giving us gerber with their fingers, while other companies are far more advanced in products and technology. This way apple keeps all their loyal fans wanting for the next "Big" thing.

I don't want a lower case keyboard. I can't believe they still haven't fixed the Shift key. Gordon Bennet.

Is it so hard for Apple to allow us a permanent row of numbers on the default keyboard? There's tons of space on an iPad. It's details like this that are still condemning the iPad's metamorphosis into a true laptop replacement.
That's weird. On mine the shift command is fixed, when caps is on now all keys show capitalized, when its off they show lowercase. If they are all showing lowercase even with caps on, sounds like you've run into a beta bug.

It is, what happens is for TouchID the default is now 6 digits, but you can go back in to the settings and change the password back to 4 digit or the longer alphanumeric password

You can click advanced when its asking for the password and switch it to 4 as well.

Yes, passcode will be optional just like it currently is. The only difference is if you enable a passcode now it will be 6 digits instead of 4. Though of course you could keep you current and simply add two 0's to the end or such. 6 however is a concerning number since most every average person will use their birthdate which will be the first things thiefs, friends and family and jealous partners try first.

You can click advanced and select 4 digits.

Or maybe people will say it copies the low power mode in Galaxy phones, or Sony Xperia phones. Or maybe, people will hail it as another great Apple innovation :)

But this tidying up of the OS is so sorely needed. I mean, the keyboard shift issue was awful. At least on the Android side these components of the OS have been split off so you can update them quickly, because it sucks to have to wait for a new iOS to get an update to something so basic.

EDIT: I also like the traffic warning stuff -- Google Now features are being pulled into the OS

So as usual, not much useful (except the keyboard functions which I already have with jailbreak tweaks).

Mostly disappointed by the lack of Force Touch, this would've been great on iphone 6S

The one feature I wish we'd get is group lists in email. Maybe I missed it in iOS iOS 1-8, but how come I can't manage group lists on my iPhone (easily, without a work around)?

I'm really curious to see if the iPad on-screen trackpad feature will also support third-party external hardware similar to how the keyboard does. This would really elevate the iPad to new heights in terms of productivity! Fingers crossed

They often reserve talking about those types of features until they announce the new hardware. Otherwise it would give away the surprise

Is swipe down from any home screen page for Spotlight available or is back to the left of the first home screen like pre-iOS7?

iOS 9 is getting better and better!

Love all the little features. The ability to actually put an attachment in Mail alone makes it a great release for me. :D
Where do attachments come from? iCloud Drive only?

Some stuff is good. But most, again a lot more noise in the UI. iOS has some function overkill.

I really like the News app and Music. Can't wait to use splitscreen on my iPad. And Siri? Yeah, lets see about that...
Just curious what you think is function overkill?

There is a good chance that Apple is keeping Force Touch support in iOS under wraps until closer to the release of actual iOS devices with it.

Unlikely since adding support for Force Touch would need developers to experiment, feedback and test on it.

Unless they're limiting Force Touch to just clicking on apps and buttons, which would be kind of useless.

I simply think that they're saving Force Touch for iOS10 and iPhone 7, as usual.

Don't you think that feature will be saved for the iPhone event?

There could be developers testing on it right now. Not all developer stuff has to be announced at WWDC.

In general, does anyone know how much space does iOS 9 use?!
i mean, i have a 16GB iPhone, would i see a difference in terms of "more" storage?
