With EVERY iOS update they add more UNDELETABLE (and for most people useless) APPS.

WITH EVERY UPDATE. Every single one.

Are they insane?

STOOOOOOOP!

Chill and just put them in a folder named "Apple" or "Junk" that's not on your first screen. Simple.

Or jailbreak and hide them when it's available.

Could you clarify on it, "sucks". Do you mean it has a personal negative connotation to you? Or you believe it's less legible on non retina devices? Or...? So far it's be well received by the millions who have Apple Watches but interested to hear what you dislike about it over the previous font?

it means what it means. I think helvetica looks better. You don't have to deep-think every comment

Helvetica is a decent font. Neue is not a good weight, though. SF is miles ahead in the legibility department. You're just used to HN so it will take time to adjust (it's the whole "resistance to change" thing going on).

I have a suggestion for you Apple:

Yes, passcode will be optional just like it currently is. The only difference is if you enable a passcode now it will be 6 digits instead of 4. Though of course you could keep you current and simply add two 0's to the end or such. 6 however is a concerning number since most every average person will use their birthdate which will be the first things thiefs, friends and family and jealous partners try first.

i've used the same passcode since i got my iPhone back in 2008. it's my my name in numbers.

although i have touch ID, it's something that i'll need to adjust to.

"iCloud drive now works like you expected it to"

Headline feature buried

"The shift function has been altered once again" Tipical new Apple, they change all keys so they does not recognize their error with the shift key. Why don't change just the shift key to something more readable? No, they changed 26 keys. Yes, I counted all of them, 26.

It's funny how people can't be pleased. For years people complained that Apple wasn't including enough options in iOS. Now people are complaining there are too many options in iOS. The problem is how do you include nearly infinite options and yet make the OS simple to use for people who don't need all those options. IMO, Apple is straddling that balance and generally doing a decent job. Two things I'd like to see (which others have mentioned): removable stock apps and a slightly larger default iCloud storage. But outside of that, many of the new changes seem to be heading in the right direction.

Yup, something more consistent which they should have done a long time ago anyway. Instead of working around the more obvious issue they actually dealt with it finally.

The best option Apple could have come up with to save battery power is giving us the option when we close out of an app it also closes it from running in the background as well. Closes it completely. Sick of apps always running in the background and sick of always having to go through the hassle of having to manually close them all. We should have the ability to choose which apps we want to keep running in the background and which we always want to completely shut down. That so hard??

I wish Apple would bring back the ability to copy image URL's in Safari. Often times I just want the URL to paste the image on a message board. I don't want to have to save it to my camera roll. That functionality existed in iOS 7. Why did they take it away?

Exiting an app generally suspends it and should already reduce resource consumption - I say generally because there are the odd occasions where apps or the OS misbehave, which is one of the few reasons why you really should be force closing apps. Shutting apps down all the time can actually result in reduced battery life because then you're forcing apps to completely reload every single time.

To me, San Francisco seems too condensed. The kerning seems off. Helvetica's sleek and minimalistic. It's a timeless design that's been around for ages. Legibility wise, I've not had an issue with Neue.

Turn off "Background App Refresh" in settings. Just because it shows all those apps in the switcher does not mean they are running.

waiting for an android user to come and claim they've had all these features 50 years ago
We've had all these features 50 years ago.
iCloud Drive ... Google Drive
Keyboard Changes - been there done that
Battery Saving - low power mode ... Samsung's ultra power saving mode
Find my iPhone ... Android doesn't care about iPhones

===
in all seriousness though, I have used both an iPhone and an Android. I think both devices are great and they represent a wide class of users. I'll keep using my iPhone for the next year or so unless the Note 4 is beyond my imagination.

Unlikely since adding support for Force Touch would need developers to experiment, feedback and test on it.

Unless they're limiting Force Touch to just clicking on apps and buttons, which would be kind of useless.

I simply think that they're saving Force Touch for iOS10 and iPhone 7, as usual.
Support for multiple screen sizes also wasn't announced last WWDC, it was strongly hinted at in the actual sessions on iOS. So, I'd wait until later this week if Force Touch support is hinted at in some of the sessions.

There is also the rule of thumb that Apple adds bigger hardware technology steps in the years without a new case design (to compensate for the otherwise lower consumer interest).

MacRumors needs to update the post. The 6 digit passcode is NOT required. It's the default but it can easily be changed back to 4.

See the problem here? It's not a good font for small text. iOS is full of it. And this part is subjective, but I find Helvetica to be very bland (like Arial, really, never liked that font either). It's so generic it becomes boring quickly.

Here's an example of a font I love and use for reading: Avenir. It's excellent for reading streams of content, like your Twitter timeline and news articles (Tweetbot and Newsify allow you to change the default font). I'm glad SF is similar to it.

P.S. Funny tidbit, Avenir has been used in iOS since iOS 6 for small things.
