I actually have no comment on your comment, I just want to applaud you for saying 'Android' and 'iOS' instead of 'Android' and 'iPhone'. You have my respect good sir!

The reason I looked up services that buy or trade in phones, its a good basis for the prices that these can be resold.

The iphone 5 holds a small margin in regards to resale value.

Please feel free and do your own research where you can prove that an iphone 5 base model, holds its value much better than an samsung s4, I only see a marginal difference. And I can see plenty of people paying the same amount.

Try using facts to support your argument, cause frankly your generalizing a lot!

Your talking rubbish. Everyone with half a competence knows that a galaxy S4 is one of the worst Samsung ever.
It doesn't matter if you try to demonstrate something with some meaningless links. Try to actually sell an iPhone or a galaxy....

haha, thank you :) I never talk of the iPhone in these discussions, arguments. Just the operating system.

You have my respect for owning an awesome Mac, looking at your sig, one day I may own one, one day hehe. Till then my 2010 MB Pro will keep on ticking.

I have owned every generation of iPhone , I have also owned every Galaxy since s3, your talking
complete rubbish calling the s4 the worst samsung ever. Sorry, but that is such a clueless statement, while the s4 was an incremental improvement of the s3, the s3 was a very good handset. To call the s4 the worst Galaxy ever shows you have no idea.

Your completely missing the obvious point that people buy based on the OS!

The S4 is my son's smartphone: worst Samsung ever.
It's a piece of junk, bloated with ridiculous software, manufactured with ridiculously low quality materials.
And today is worthless.

I owned the iPhone 5 and it was a phone of an entirely different class. It took a few hours to sell it at a good price.
To save my son the pain of using that ugly Samsung I basically have to give it away for free. like it or not.

I don't know if it's the worst Samsung ever, but it definitely had the worst launch event ever. Anyone remember that?

Lol, the amount of stupid features they put in that phone along with their Broadway show introduction, man I was cracking up laughing watching that crap.

First time even android sites were panning a Samsung launch event

Sounds like you had a bad experience. And that's your opinion, fair enough. Lets agree to disagree.

From my experience, the iphone has become such a common item, and given apple sells multiple variants of each model, the base model becomes cheap on the 2nd hand market, especially after 2 years. If you want a unit that holds its value, you need to buy the top end model.

I gave away my iPhone 5 to family, cause it was in excellent shape, and I was not going to get that much for it after iphone 6 came out. Better for them to enjoy it.

I had an S4 and I completely agree it was a terrible phone. But I swapped it for a s4 gpe and it was a totally different experience. The software was fluid and everything seemed faster.

I sold it last year for $300. The gpe models seem to be in demand. That was the first and last Samsung gpe model. Too bad. Samsung ruins phones with TouchWiz.

Heard the s6 will have less TouchWiz bloat, though.

True.
GPE version was better, construction aside (Samsung won't learn how to make a phone... :rolleyes:), but it was quite expensive compared to the normal model, which start to lose value in a very few months.
I think the GPE hold its value better.

Actually not ONE bad experience, but several.
My wife is quite ultraconservative, and since her first smartphone was a Samsung Galaxy Ace, since then she only want Samsung's phones, just to complain about them in a couple of months after purchase :rolleyes:

S2 Plus
S3 mini
S3
S4
..... still have to find a decent one. :mad:
Now she's desperate and asked me for...... an S5.

The sad thing is that BB has a superior OS and a real smartphone, not a shiny toy for teenage kids without a proper keyboard, notification system, multitasking, battery life, etc. :confused:

I have an iPad and it's nice for casual use, but when it comes to smartphones and getting work done nothing comes close to the mighty Passport.
