Everybody is missing the point of this entire article.

First off the main point is to show off a very well-designed iWatch concept. I'm very impressed with the guy's work and while I have a few critiques/changes/ideas to add in, it's overall very well done.

As far as the arm band, it's not supposed to show off design, but rather how the screen size would look on the wrist.

Come on guys, it's not that difficult.

To all those people saying its ridiculous about the sellotape, it's supposed to show how the screen will look on your hand, and how small or large it would be. :apple:

EDIT:

Damn it chrf097 beat me to it.

And you know this how? Oh, anecdotal evidence for a product that started and entirely new generation of devices? Also, the interface mockup WAS appropriate for the form factor. Take your borderline personality disorder elsewhere.

Based on what Apple has always done? It doesn't make sense to replicate the iPhone on your wrist. I don't think Apple is just going to make a mini version of the iphone and slap it on your wrist. There will be a better reason for this product to exist.

Nice. Now all I need to know is:

Can we change the band color if we want?

I believe you can see this shop for all your iWatch band needs:

No its not! They've just shrunk down the current iOS interface - it's pathetic an unimaginative.

It's also embarrassing compared to Google Wear.

There's rumours and then there's just the ramblings of random forum members photographing themselves taping bits of paper to their wrist.

How and why this has become an article is beyond me.

You guys should see the mockup I made with an old Timex, a big elastic-one of the wide ones, a piece of construction paper and a box of those stick on silver and gold stars. :D

That's got a 1.5 inch screen.

I see you're going to conveniently ignore all the other comments mocking your website and offer no explanation as to why such a terrible mock up with no obvious insider knowledge was posted on the front page and instead poke holes in someone's legitimate point that the mock up in the article simply looks like an iPod nano.
