Even the ios mockup is using the Healthbook App still. There's an actual app announced. It's called 'Health'.

If you'd bother to read the blog entry, you'd see that it's from April, 2 months before iOS 8, and therefore before Health was announced.

Why do people consistently think the iWatch interface is going to simply be smaller version of the iPhone interface.

It reminds me of the renders and mockups that were produced before the iPhone came out. They all depicted an iPod-like design with a click wheel and iPod interface.

This is not what Apple is going to do. They will use an interface that is appropriate for the form-factor.

Also surfaced today - the 12 inch Macbook Air with Retina Display running OS X Yosemite. Two words: Flat-ter!

And also surfaced today, the new mac mini everyone is waiting for!

Com'on seriously guys, stop making fun of MacRumors. Just a quick photo reference what that size screen would be like. Speaking of which.....um, I think it's a little big maybe. I think Apple will prob. go smaller. I'm going to predict they will have an iWatch custom interface with iOS under the hood....as opposed to the full blown iPhone/iPad like interface.

It's mockups like this that raise people's expectations to ridiculous levels. I mean, how are they going to center the color copy so neatly on that tape at a rate to keep up with demand?

Crude mock-up aside, here's my idea of what the iWatch could be :

- Runs Pixo OS (the iPod OS)
- Built-in native apps that can work without a network connection
- Some health-related sensors
- iOS 8 apps can project interactive interfaces/notifications into the iWatch screen
- Acts like Carplay on your wrist
- Very good battery life, several days between charges
- Very cheap price. $100-$200

And yes, the 7th gen iPod nano could already do most of this with a software update (it has BlueTooth LE), it just doesn't have the right form factor.

Seriously, I'm outta here

I have been a loyal MacRumors reader for at least 5 years. I have never created an account to comment but this post was so egregious that I had to say something. I don't consider a nasty image of a fat person's hairy arm with tape on it to be front page newsworthy.

You've lost a once loyal reader today MacRumors. I'm deleting my MacRumors bookmarks and will now be visiting AppleInsider (DED's editorials are way more interesting than anything you guys post) or 9to5mac because I'm not interested in reading amateurish content.

I'm sorry but this is good-bye.

Its a nightmare all over again.... (what's it called again.....)

The 6th nano did exactly the same thing, but it also doubled as a handy-dandy ipod..

Try doing that with an iWatch... to play music you have pair it with an iPhone...

Lets go backwards in time shall we ? Otherwise, its just as dumb as door stop

(Anyone have a time machine i can borrow.)

Here 9to5 :)

I come here for the forums. Heck I didn't even know they do comedy as well.

And you know this how? Oh, anecdotal evidence for a product that started and entirely new generation of devices? Also, the interface mockup WAS appropriate for the form factor. Take your borderline personality disorder elsewhere.

Sounds like you have a time machine of your own, that you've used to go into the future and determine the iWatch requires an iPhone to play music.
