Clearly you don't have better things to do than post random nonsense you read in some site's public comments section. But I guess you don't have time to find out the facts from a reliable source...like the one cited in the article you were reading...

I believe the statements on that iClarified blog have already been determined to have some errors in them (or to be fake). I have read this on 2 separate blogs.

Additionally, I read EVERY SINGLE TWEET that MuscleNerd posts and what you quoted from iClarified is certainly not anything he has ever tweeted.

being that you know a lot more about this than i do i'll take your word for it.. but even at this point they would've released an unlock for 3.1.3.

These guys make no money with their hacks.. all they want is praise and they well damn deserve it.. so having a way to unlock an iphone that thousand if not millions of people need, it's just simply hard for me to believe that they just don't want to say anything about it..

again i'm not trying to be stubborn or anything.. it just seems like common sense to me.. is there a video or anything showing a iPhone 3.1.3 with band 5.12.01 that has been unlocked?

i know that the dev team are doing an awesome job and helping many of us, but i simply just don't believe everything that someone says.. specially if it doesn't make sense
 
From what I've heard, the reason why they won't release an unlock for 3.1.3/5.12.01 is because the exploit that they used to run the unlock would be revealed. The exploits remains in new firmwares. Apple could then patch the exploit in final release of 4.0, forcing the Dev Team to find a new exploit, which is a long process. People would appreciate and unlock for 4.0 over 3.1.3. Users were warned not to update.

Releasing the 3.1.3 unlock would reveal the method of the 4.0 unlock to Apple as both use the same baseband crash command.

If you take time to follow the hackers, esp DevTeam, you will understand that nothing new has been revealed to Apple with all the recent updates to Ultrasn0w and Redsn0w. Those tools use the same exploits and weaknesses as they did 6 months ago.

This is not true with the new unlock for baseband 5.12.xx and 5.13.xx which is "ready and waiting".

So, nothing will be released until both iOS 4 and the iPhone 4 are released to the general public.

Yep this is correct. if al goes well jb and Ul will be released very soon.. looks like much faster then last year with 3.0. Since the Dev-team doesn't charge or accept money I think it is best for us to be patient and not bug them. the people that can find these exploits are far and few.

so are they confirming a jailbreak for the iPhone 4 and iSO4 day one?? Im with AT&T so I dont really need the unlock
 
just be patient everyone......thats all we can do. I have 2 iphone 4's coming in the 24th that I need the unlock for so I am in the same boat. The Dev team just needs time with the new phone.....
 
I subscribe to Musclenerd and Sherrif,s twitters and they both say 4.0 is unlockable. Sherrif says the 4.0 GM is not even the final release but doest elaborate how he knows this

Yea, we wouldn't want another round of suicides to start. It might delay all those iPhone 4 devices (as well as the obvious consequences)
