Ios5 bugs thread

I don't know if this is a gmail issue or an iOS issue. I am now getting duplicate emails on my main account. I have turned it off and an back on but still getting the same results. The only thing I haven't done is deleting the account and then resetting it up.

Is anybody else having this issue? This is only happening on my iPhone. My Mac is still getting one and my gmail account is still getting just one.

Actual dual e-mails or just dual notifications of a single email?

Dual emails and dual notifications of said email.

I did a test on my computer. Sent from my secondary email within the Mac email client to may main account. One email showed up on my Mac. My phone received the same email x2. I also received two email notifications within my notification screen.
 
How to know if my Ipad 2 is even updated

I thought I had followed all the steps to get iOS 5 on my iPad 2. Software on my MacBook Pro/itunes is running OS 10.5. Did a refresh/install of my iPad and then synced it with the latest of my backup.

I notice no real change, just a lot of things NOT there.

1. I have no newsstand app
2. my subscriptions are missing
3. no iMessanger
4. apps like Keynote wont even install
5. and i also keep getting an error message saying that my iPad cannot be synced. The required file can't be found.

can anyone help me out? this is really frustrating me. 😡

my iphone 4S is being delivered today and i really want to get all my devices working properly on this new OS.

Have you tried to put it in DFU mode and restore? You might wanna restore your iPad if you havent tried already.

I was having issues yesterday and oddly enough deleting all my backups and clicking "upgrade" allowed me to finally install iOS 5. It may not be related to your problem but still, if it helps.
 
Two big ones I've found...hopefully you guys can fix.

Despite having my iphone at mid-volume, sometimes when locking / unlocking the phone it plays at full volume and screams at me.

Also I'm having issues with Siri's 'raise to talk' where I just hold up the phone to my ear...not doing anything. Worked once an hour ago.
 
- LED flash for notifications doesn't work (yes it's not, doesn't flash for texts, emails, or imessages)
- when the phone is locked and you double click to change music, changing to the next song makes it quickly pause then play again - doesn't actually affect the playback of music but it's a visual bug
- getting duplicate notifications for emails
- all stocks in notification center disappeared, had to manually add them back one by one
- Find Friends can't get an accurate location of a friend a couple of kilometers down the street from me (were both on 3G) and shows her a couple of kilometers west of her location
- if you close the Messages app while having a convo with 1 person open and then re-open the app it no longer goes to that convo but goes back to the list of all messages
- for the last 2 evenings since installing iOS5 I repeatedly lose all service and 3g, then get it all back, then lose it again. Seems to happen when I'm just holding the phone regularly. It's never happened before and no I'm not holding it wrong.
- when listening to music with the headphones, when a notification comes in the alert is very quiet (despite the volume being turned up to near max for alerts). the music seems to just pause for a second where you would hear the alert sound, but you don't hear the alert and the music resumes
- setting up keyboard shortcuts for words like "****" works to prevent it from auto-correcting to 'shut', but setting it up for "yo" still auto-corrects it to "to" or "up"
- not sure if this ones a bug but today I noticed when the screen is locked sometimes it says "slide to view" instead of "slide to unlock"
- there are no delivered/read receipts in group messaging (iMessage itself feels so incomplete)
- the alert for emails comes a couple of seconds before the email itself does

Settings/general/accessibility/assistive touch bass the always show menu and tracking speed frayed out. What uses custom gestures?

Count me too. LED flash does not work on my iPhone 4.
 
iPod Touch 4gen problems

I upgraded my iPod Touch 4th Generation with iOS 5 on Wednesday and it's hosed up. It will stop playing songs and you can't start them again unless you go back to the album. When in this state, if you forward to the next song, it won't play. One time I clicked to play a Glee😱 song and it started playing a podcast of This American Life. LOL. I restored the device this afternoon but I haven't heard from my wife whether that worked or not. It takes about 3-4 hours to put 10GB worth of songs and audiobooks on the Touch. It's always been this way which is frustratingly slow. I can put the same stuff on my iPod Classic 30GB in only 30 minutes or less.

**Update** Everything is working well (except for the slow file transfer) after restoring the iPod. We've been using it for a couple of hours now and things are good. Phew!

i have had the iTunes store and App Store crash on me while browsing around on it. This never happened on iOS 4 or previous versions before that.

Ok I found the fix. Under Settings->Mail,Contacts,Calendars scroll down to Contacts and set the My Info to the contact (in my case my name with Home address) you want.

This now shows the Home location in Reminders with that info!!!

I have the same problem in my iPad 2 3G but this didn't work 🙁

+1 on 16gb white iPhone 4S. This happens after using Siri, the volume is maxed until you lock/unlock the phone.

I have come across a couple more....I just have to remember what they were.
 
hmmm. I guess I am another lucky user. I have none of the bugs on this thread... I mean I did, but then I did a hard reset. Everything works flawlessly and my batt does better than it did before.
