There is no iPhone named "iPhone 5" and there never will. The iPhone 4S is technically the iPhone 5.

I agree. I think this one will be slightly earlier than last year. Though I personally hope it isn't, since I can't upgrade my phone until Dec. 26 on contract anyway, unless Verizon makes an exception (which I don't expect).The iPhone 3G came out July 11th, the 3GS came out on June 19th. It's simple, every 2 weeks. Always been every two weeks, it won't change now. Only unknown is how many betas there will be, that depends on the new iPhone's launch.

....and it had a (slightly) different pattern for the iPhone 4, and the releases before that. Only Apple know when any new iPhone is going to be released, assuming we know a particular release date is incorrect, and liable to lead to disappointment.![]()
