The Apple RDF* was in full force tonight.
Here's a quote from Scott Forstall:
"We have been working very closely with Facebook to create the best Facebook integration ever in a mobile device."
Best Facebook integration ever? REALLY?
Let's see if we can find a device that has the same or better integration. Oh yes, the HTC Desire, that phone from HTC that was released two years ago (a lifetime in the technology world):
- Credential sharing? Check.
- Post pics from gallery, sites from browser, location from maps? Check.
- Talk to your phone to post on Facebook? Check (with the assistance of a third party voice app like Vlingo).
- Like apps? This is the only thing it doesn't have, but you can share a link to the app to your wall and then like your comment.
- Contact syncing? Check.
The HTC Desire also had the benefit of being able to see people's status updates from within the contact app. You could see their tweets from the same place.
Why does Apple lie?
