doesn't this get checked out or do they just all go to conferences and announce how much money they make every day?

If this is a software bug, shame on Apple for not catching it.

Mine's fixed thanks to AgentOrange in the other thread:

"Go To:

Settings>Wi-Fi>("Your Network")> [the blue circle arrow icon]

Scroll to bottom of screen and set HTTP Proxy to Auto

.. hope that helps"

This has worked for me on the iPad3.. so far....

So what did we learn? Apple is calling home when you activate/connect to a network. WOW, so if Apple is down it takes us with them!

This also happened on my ipad 3. I went into settings cause I saw no wifi indication at the top left of the screen. Tapped my router and all came back. Atleast for now. Will be watching this closely.

this is seriously annoying.
It's also a repetitive problem for Apple that's cropped up time & time again over the years in various OS X & iOS updates.

One would think by now Apple would test to be sure it's not a problem.

Perhaps their denial switch is stuck in the "on" position :)
