How come the original bot post#1 has 2022 as the post date, but 2024 iPad Air specs in the post content. Did the bot bring the dead post back to life with an update?
I was wondering the same. I recently got the base iPad 10 from my work as a service anniversary gift. Nice device and all, but seeing I can trade it to Apple for $225, I'm considering doing so for the 11" base M2 iPad Air. But at a net additional cost of about $250 extra (after EDU deal), is it worth it?

Storage bump from 64 to 128 is probably the most useful thing to me. I pretty much just browse, Facetime, and watch videos on iPad. My MacBook Air M3 is for productivity.

I can tell you this much… the M2 iPad Air is thinner and lighter than the Gen 10 base iPad. About the same amount that the 11-inch M4 iPad Pro is thinner and lighter than the M2 iPad Air. I don’t know if that matters to you. I didn’t think it would matter to me but the difference is noticeable - especially if you don’t use a heavy Apple-branded cover or folio. I would also check Amazon and Best Buy for sales on the 11-inch M2 iPad Air. I’m sure you can save at least another $50.

Thanks. The few mm thickness certainly noticeable side-by-side, but in my hands not a big deal. I always use the $10 cheap Amazon cases which historically work well for me. I think if I didn't have a MacBook Air, I'd lean towards the more powerful iPad Pro.
