See I may have the chance to queue from 9am onwards but I cannot stay till 5pm for the release. Talk about so near yet so far. Otherwise I will have to lie to people about my whereabouts. Before you ask, it's not my wife I fear, it's my daughter lol.

If anyone is near cribs today and can check to see if there is a queue forming that might change some peoples plan of attack!

I don't think it's going to be necessary to queue to be honest.. certainly not from 2pm or earlier as some are suggesting. I'm just going to drop by each of the places in Broadmead and Cabot Circus after 5pm and try my luck.

For those who really want to queue, I'd say Apple Store at Cribbs would be your best bet - it's bigger and generally much quieter than the Cabot Circus Apple store, which will be rammed with time wasters/students (isn't it always..??)

Hmmm - im torn between walking down into town at 4pm or driving over to Cribbs... What's the best option do you think? I'm really not up for joining an enormous queue!

Town will have more options for places to buy, so more unit availability (in theory), but then probably a lot more people (although not all serious buyers).

Cribbs on the other hand may have fewer units, but fewer people - but more of these may be serious buyers.

hrmm...

It's a gamble either way, but I'm going with town, as it's a 5 minute walk away for me! So if I can't get one, at least I've not wasted a trip to Cribbs.

Everyone I've asked has told me they'll turn up around 1200 or 1300. Seems a little too close to the mark for me...

I'll be at Cabot. Still undecided on times though.

Was gonna head to Cribbs for 2/3 but definitely going to try and get there for 12/13.30 now!!

Did you see that the shipping times for the Australian online store have already slipped to 2-3 weeks? Scary!

1400/1500 does sound too close, though I've never queued up for anything before - this is all new to me.

I'm going to head into town mid-morning. If there is no queue, I'm thinking I'll kill 90 minutes in the cinema.

Oh and yeah, saw the shipping times - I wouldn't be surprised if that's just Apple covering their own asses.

Same strategy!

Anyone got any information on JL in Cribbs? Phoned earlier - they will have stock but wont tell me how much or how it will be distributed.

I'm soon off to Cabot.. it's still quite early, but if there is no que, i will just kill some time at the place.. i travel away next week, so quite desperate to get it today..

About 20-30 so far in cribs. Spoken with staff and they have sufficient stock to cope with today.
