Yea I realized what I did was wrong. I apologized to comex (even though it doesn't change anything) and I deleted my twitter, the website, and my youtube account. Stupid decision by me. Since I had the tools to jailbreak I felt overpowered and I was foolish.

It's a good thing you apologized to Comex. I am glad that you saw that light. You are still a tool though.

WOW,

after reading every news site and browsing through every forum, and being someone who stood in line on release day of the iPad 2 and has been Desperately waiting for a jailbreak saving each and every hash....I can see that

SAIZ and MULTIMEDIAWILL are both douche bags and are equally responsible for this leak. I am mostly concerned about Comex being upset about it and not wanting to jailbreak future devices because the jailbreak scene is full of douche bags like these guys.

Ok, that was it. Have a lovely day. I think this makes 2 posts for me in 2 years....

That is what I am worried about, that he won't release it..but I guess if it wasn't going to release it why bother telling everyone yesterday to save your 4.3.3 SHSH Blobs..if he had no intention of releasing anything why even say that, just come out and say F you all Im not releasing anything..so I still think he will..its always like this, when something great is supposed to come out you always have a few dirtbags trying to ruin it for everyone else so they get famous..I hate this, we were so close to release then some tool wants to get their behinds famous and ruin it for the rest of us..I just hope at the end Comex releases an update and says exactly when he is releasing this thing, at this point I'd even take a beta release over nothing. I spent 700 bucks on an iPad that I wanted to jailbreak, its not the same without it being jailbroken

Well by now we should all be accustomed to carrots being dangled in front of us... the last few have come with constant "almost there" posts that never come to fruition, so I don't think this is anything different.

On the flip side, maybe this was all just a diversionary tactic to save face. I know it won't be a popular comment, but did you ever stop to think that maybe it's finally been acknowledged that the iPad 2 at current firmware might not be able to be jailbroken fully, and by creating a leak, it gives the creator an out to say "fu@k it, I'm done" giving the appearance that they are leaving the position in disgust, masking the reality that they're leaving in failure to be able to find a successful way to beat the system?

Ok queue the fanboys and haters...

Well the iPad 2 is definitely jailbreakable..people who are on 4.3 have proved that fact..its the rest of us that have to suffer..and yeah its kinda weird that yesterday of all days the leakers decided to leak their stuff..why chose Saturday instead of today..why not a few days ago..and Comex did tweet on Friday about how no one has seen it yet..I dont know what to think anymore..if he has something just let us know and if he has nothing lets end this nonsense already

There's zero evidence that there is a successful jailbreak for 4.3.1, 4.3.2, or 4.3.3. Sure we've seen 4.3.0, but nothing more.

There's always been a lot of ego involved in the development world. The developers don't do it for money, they do it for recognition. Anyone who doesn't agree needs to take a Psych 101 class. :)

So basically Comex never had anything..he just made the whole thing up and right about when he knew the jig was up he unleashed these "Leakers" to ruin everything..??

Perhaps an English 101 class is needed. 'Cue the fanboys and haters.'

In the world of posters who pretend to have special insight into human behavior, too.

After restarting my iPad a few times the file system went to hell. Click on cydia and it would restart the iPad. Had to recover back to scratch. The jailbreak was nice while it lasted.... I'll be waiting patiently fir the official JB as well.

Except....coding doesn't work that way, adding more resources doesn't solve things quicker. Correcting a single problem is typically no faster with 1,000 programmers than it is with one. You only get some level of time multiplication when you have different programmers working on different modules, so their efforts are independent.

I know how coding works and you could have 1000 devs each trying to fix the exploit in their own way at the end of 24 hours 2400 hours of work would have gone into it and you should have the best possible way to close it.

Clearly you have never run a development project, at least not one that came in at or under budget.

Clearly it's you that needs the lesson:

I love when people correct others and are wrong in themselves.

I believe the expression "cue the..." comes from the following definition of "cue."

an actor's line that immediately precedes and serves as a reminder for some action or speech

So in this case, it means, "Come on fanboys and haters, that was your cue! Say your piece!"

It does not mean "Come on, fanboys and haters, line up and wait for your turn to say your piece." Though that's a pretty funny imagery... How long do you suppose this queue is? :D

Huh? What school of English were you brought up in. I suppose either can be correct, but the expression "queue the fanboys" was more referring to a string (or line) of posts one following the other. In the sense of an online thread, a queue is like a line... but hey, notice how you felt the need to correct something you not only understood, but knew to be correct. What a waste of space. G'day. Oh wait, let me put it into your english "Peace brutha"

OH I love all the 'supporters' for Comex, again lets be honest you're sucking ass so he release 4.3.3 because you want your toys. Then after everything is done you forget about him and just move on because thats what happens.

Lets be frank here, these people live on the adulation and attention it brings. I'm sure if Comex said he wouldn't release it which I doubt the tide will turn and we be seeing the same people praise and kiss ass complaning how much a douche he is etc.

I got my ass roasted and got moderator warnings on another forum for calling Comex an attention whore.. Good to see y'all roasting him here! This 'leak' wasn't exactly a surprise.. You want me to believe a hacker who has worked tirelessly for MONTHS had his work out there in the wind for ANYONE to find... Unsecured?

Yeah, and Bin Laden was residing just outside of Ft. Bragg before moving to Pakistan..

You say "either can be correct," but then claim I knew "queue" was correct?

And just because I can understand how a misunderstanding can come about, doesn't make the misunderstanding correct.

But let's just agree that there are two theories about cue/queue, and agree to disagree on which is correct.

If you ran the leaked version, try SSHing in and typing:

# passwd

to change the root password. Due to a bug in unionfs, since fixed, I believe it will cause /etc/master.passwd to be overwritten and the system to become unbootable.

There's a reason it was being tested rather than released. Not that I begrudge anyone the right to use my crappy broken testing versions, but there is no such thing as a public beta-- people would treat it like a release and lose their data. *shrug*

All of a sudden the day after the leak a user name "Comex" shows up on MR as a "newbie" ... lol, I hope a moderator confirms identity on this one, and if not really comes, permaban.

well the other thread where apparently comex and multimediawill shared a passionate email exchange already got deleted...so we can safely assume "will" is creating multiple accounts to further boost his super ego haha
