If you ran the leaked version, try SSHing in and typing:

# passwd

to change the root password. Due to a bug in unionfs, since fixed, I believe it will cause /etc/master.passwd to be overwritten and the system to become unbootable.

There's a reason it was being tested rather than released. Not that I begrudge anyone the right to use my crappy broken testing versions, but there is no such thing as a public beta-- people would treat it like a release and lose their data. *shrug*

This is EXACTLY what happened to my ipad2. I tried mobile terminal to change passwd and got a error. Cydia would not start so I tried a reboot it was unbootable. Had to restore to 4.3.3
