Iff apple brings out a PS3 style controller that plugs into the dock port The iPad would become the ultimate portable gaming device

Infinity blade looks great on original iPad. Recent update is challenging, but can't wait to see how it can look even better.

Really quality graphics... Ive seen those diagrams of the arm graphic chip which compares it to current consoles, I wonder, how does the ipad2 graphic chip compares to a intel SB 3000 or Nvidia's 320m...

Knew this was gonna happen quick and one of the reasons I figured it was time to sell off my iPad 1. Now if I can just get myself to actually play some of these games instead of all the email/web browsing/book reading I typically do...

This is really awesome as long as they don't start selling an iPad specific version that you need to buy if you already own the iPad version from before.

Why someone would by a DS or PSP over this and its screen size. The 3D on the DS looks cool, for a moment, then becomes a gimmick. I'll take the nearly 10 inch iPad screen over the equivalent of a phone screen on the DS any day.

Nice way to deal with fragmentation; one DL for both the iPad 1 and 2*.

*so-called

Devs have been doing this with iPhones for a while I think. For a game to run on the 3G, 3GS, and iPhone 4 would require some adjustments to be made based on the model you run it on. If not it would have bad performance on the older ones or look worse than the competition on the newer ones. :)

OMG, these games will look absolutely amazing. Can't wait until March 25th!

Hoe do dey do dat??? The iOS can really do dem graphics!!

If something like this ram on my MBP it would heat it up like a toaster oven and I'd have to stay on the chargers or die.

...and now my iPad is completely outdated.

Lol!

Not gonna lie, I am kind of jealous now. I love gaming and graphics!

iPad is officially a game console

With HDMI mirroring and the processing power of iPad 2, it has officially become a game console.

Dock your iPad next to the TV, plugged in via the new HDMI dock connector and use an iPhone or iPod as the controller. You're now sitting back on your couch, playing full screen on your HD TV.

Or imagine using the iPad 1/2 as a big remote, and using an eventual Apple TV 3 (A5?) as output... even better :p

^ If you're referring to AirPlay, unfortunately, there's going to be some significant lag that prevents this from being possible.

If instead you're suggesting that AppleTV 3 will be doing the processing and iPad just being the controller, it's possible but why wait until AppleTV 3 when iPad can do all this right now?

Indeed they should, or bluetooth version, and millions would buy it, but I don't think they Apple ever as they would see it as a failure of the touch screen concept to produce such an item.

I would buy one right away if they did as I hate on-screen joysticks with a passion.

I'm sure we will need to wait for a 3rd party to produce a de facto standard controller, like creative did years ago with the "soundblaster" cards for computers.

I wonder if PS3 Bluetooth controllers could ever be made to work as there's an instant answer right there.

Dead Space received an update with improved graphics. As excited as I was to hear about the Infinity Blade update I'm almost more excited to see hoe Dead Space was improved.

I'd buy a DS just for Mario, Zelda, and/or Pokemon alone. Just remember these games still have fans. I don't know about the PSP though. I'm not choosing one over the other because I like the iPad too.

Physical buttons...

Not to mention the PSP2 has a quad core processor and apparently quite a beast of a GPU.

"The-type-that-will-make-the-iPad2-crap-its-pants" kind of specs. And for less money.
