You sound like me (although I wear glasses more often than that these days, because seeing is pretty awesome 
). It really doesn't matter whether you get a 2 or 3 with your eyesight since most on-screen items will stay the same size (unlike, say, on a computer where higher res = everything is smaller unless you tweak other settings); stop trying to justify it and just get the new one
