And all this time I've thought *I* did it when I saw the small gash on the bottom right side of mine. However I was dumbfounded when I saw it as I have always babied it and had never dropped or dinged it.

Though it's there, I oddly feel better knowing I didn't do it :)

iPad 3 here from 5th Ave Store in NYC.

Fresh out of the box, Two dings one on top and one to the right side.

Appears to be caused by improper handling/packaging, as the box got dents on corresponding spots. There's nothing in between the box top and the iPad, they should definitely add another layer. Should of opened the box and checked before walking out the store, but then it doesn't really bother me and the iPad works fine.

I was disappointed when I got mine out of the box. On a couple of the corners there were marks, probably not from dropping, but almost stretch marks from bending the metal.

There was also a bit where the back seal between the glass and the rear casing was a little out of line.

I could have returned it but I really don't notice them now.

Stop holding these things up like they are religious icons. Just use and enjoy your ipad, who fricking cares if its got the worlds smallest scratch on it. Dead pixels i can understand but teenie weenie case imperfection...COME ON!!!!
