iPad 2 Shipping Estimates for Online Orders Improve to 2-3 Weeks

Mine just shipped

I ordered a black, 64GB, AT&T iPad 2 several days after launch, when shipping estimates were 4-5 weeks. It was scheduled for shipment on April 11. Yesterday, on April 3, I received a pleasant surprise message from Apple that it had shipped!
 
Epic FAIL!

Reduced shipping times can only mean a gigantic slow down in sales. The iPad 2 is an epic fail as sales of Android tablets soar. Apple suks, Android rulez!

The preceding was brought you by a fake troll, me. The real trolls will be along shortly and they will agree 100%.:eek:

I ordered a White 64GB WIFI the same time on 11MAR11 as friend ordered Black 64GB WIFI through AAFES. Her's arrived in 2 weeks, mine has not shipped yet.

Guess the White models are in more demand.

I hope that "Prepared for Shipment" two weeks before it ships means an earlier deliver date.

I'm wondering the same thing! I ordered March 15 and the shipping date is still April 19 with delivery April 22. If I ordered another I could possibly get it around the same time? That doesn't make sense!

Well in the DK online store the

WiFi black 64GB and White 16GB. and 3G 16GB Black has 2-3weeks and the rest has 3-4 weeks.

So ether they are producing less of them or they are just less populer.
 
Well, my 16GB AT&T black hasn't budged at all since placing the order on March 16. Still says Ships by 4/20. So, if I order one today it's likely have a shipping date almost exactly the same. I keep hearing stories of those moved up, but nothing on mine.

I ordered mine 3 minutes after 4am on day 1 the orders started on apple.com. FedEx LOST my iPad 2 a couple days later. A replacement was ordered by Apple and still shows a April 21st ship date. They have already comped my smart cover and dock. I was very close to cancelling my order all together. Did anyone else's iPad 2 get misplaced by FedEx?
 
This is good news for those still waiting. I got mine the Thursday after release, but just yesterday I walked into Target in the middle of the day and there were like 6 sitting in the display cabinet.

I tried the regent street store this morning at about 9.30, no luck. Also tried John Lewis who had a sign up saying "iPad 2 Out of Stock" - guess they're getting a few ppl trying. Oh well, will have to wait for the online order to come through.....

It should, my daughters 64 GB white all the whistles moved from 4/25 to this week Wednesday.

Maybe check?

Same here. I have a ship date of April 25. However, I have a friend who recently received his iPad a week early, so maybe there is hope. They won't change the expected ship date but you might suddenly receive a ship notice early. Could happen.
 
My ship date (4/21) is unchanged. I guess I don't care, as long as I get it a week before Mother's Day. I still have to set up her wifi network and rip her CDs without her asking questions.

For comparison my 64GB White engraved 3G ordered a half hour after opening in Canada March 25th is still set to ship April 15th for delivery the 22nd.
 
Apple store Canada has 3-4 weeks for everything except for WiFi-Black-64 and 3G-White-64, which are 2-3 weeks. I ordered 25th March, 4am, est. ship date 15th April, delivery 22nd, no change there. Got charger last week and smart cover today.

I have a similar situation here in RI/MA area stores. All of the WalMarts near me are just selling 1st gen IPads. No IPad 2's whatsoever.
 
Well I called apple, they said my ipad will be shipped before my original date and do NOT cancel and reorder.

So we'll wait and see, what can I do right? lol

I order mine on the 3/11 and got it 4days later!? just tripping out on all the people saying they ordered theres a day or two after i did and they still havent got it yet
