I really wish the Rocketfish iPad stand worked well for the iPad 2, it's great for the 1st gen iPad but the iPad 2 is just too loose. All they need to do is make some rubber grips that hold the iPad 2 better. Anyone have any suggestions for a stand similar but actually holds the iPad 2 securely?

Hi Everyone,

I found a really cool one called the Wedge-e and i purchased it from their site http://www.wedge-e.net just wanted to share the info.

Its the best one i've found so far. Super comfortable and is offered in like 5 or 6 colors. My job requires travel and its awesome on the plane!

Hope you find the info helpful.

+1 on the Wedge-E. Won't fit everyone's needs, but it's great for supporting the iPad (or an e-Reader or book) on the lap as well as on a table or desk. Most of the alternatives work well on a flat, stable surface but fail as a lap stand.

I'd have to disagree a bit about its use on a plane. For that I use my Origami Workstation that holds both the iPad and the Apple Wireless Keyboard. But for reading/watching in bed or on the couch, the Wedge-E can't be beat.

My only complaint (and it's a minor one) is that the fleece cover over the foam body of the Wedge-E should be removable to allow it to be washed. Otherwise, it's a great product.

Man, SOMEONE needs to come up with something that doesn't look like a dying robot clutching the iPad. Those are some seriously ugly stands. It's a sleek slab of metal and glass, not a friggin snare drum.

:D:D:best post this morning so far.....snare drum...ha!

Well crap, bought the original FlipBlade as an impulse purchase @ Fry's last night.

Edit: trying to see if I can find the FlipBlade Adjust local @ a B&M. Where did you pick yours up?

Availability has been limited. I got mine at Amazon. It's in stock now. :)

I bought an Electrostand.....it's a sweet iPad stand with some cool features. I use it to watch movies next to my computer, read on my nightstand, and it's terrific for car racing games too. And at $79 bucks...it's well worth it.
