iPad 2 stock at Apple campus stores?

update on arizona state's store...
i emailed the customer service a week before launch to find out when they'd get their first shipment and they never responded.
i've called every morning since last monday and they told me each time they still hadnt received a shipment.
today i called and they said they got a shipment last week that sold out right away. then they let me know that they have a waiting list i could sign up for.
pretty unorganized and who knows when i'll actually get one, but glad to at least be on a waiting list now...

UNC STudent Stores had nothing today when I checked around 2:30. The guy said nothing has come. The BBs in the Triangle area showed stock, but when I got to one, the guy on the floor said something was wrong with the website because all they had in the cage was the old ones. Customer Service said they got some today but they were all for reserved lists. A BB in Greenville, NC had 64GB ones, but I wasn't about to drive there.
Thanks for the update. Didn't get a phone call, so I figured nothing came and didn't bother to ask. Guess there's always tomorrow.
I see Fayetteville and Winston-Salem BBs are showing stock at the moment for my model, too. Actually thought about getting in the car for a split second myself. Hope that shipment gets to Student Stores ASAP so I can stop having to fight off these absurd impulses. It's getting sad.
SVA student here in NYC and we've still got zip. We have display models though. It's crazy, when the iPad 1 first came out we had plenty. iPad 2 is proving to be a fan favorite.
Went to the bookstore today. They have a waiting list and there are 8 people on the list. The guy told me that they ordered 120 iPads but only received two shipments since launch...and the total only eight iPads arrived with two shipments...

I can promise you the W-S one only had those for reserve people. I wasn't about to drive to Fayetteville, and I heard they only had WiFi anyway. I want a 3G model. Tomorrow is another day.

I've already accepted I won't get one till April, especially since when they do get in stock, people buy 2-3 at once and sell one or return it later. I hope my school gets them in because the BBs are reserve only and Target is being shut out.

Yeah it's a b***h. I've already argued with a few resellers on here haha. My school didn't have any this morning at opening (sb last week), didn't know when they would get them, no waiting list, etc. I might try each day this week but I don't think it's worth it given the demand and my inability to wake up in time for a 9 am opening haha. My BB reservation should hopefully come in this week or next..or maybe I'll try to duke it out at target if we ever get any. Well good luck to you.

Yeah I made one on 3/12, you would think I would have gotten it by now..they told me I was first in line for the 16 white. Anyway the problem is it's in my hometown, not where I go to school. So..yeah..I would rather find it down here if possible.

My university store is still waiting for their initial shipment as well. They have no ETA either. Seems campus stores are quite low on the retail sales channel totem pole.

You are giving up too soon. The UNC bookstore staff--especially at the computer desk--have their head up their asses when it comes to apple products. Period. I too have been asking since launch about when the iPads are coming in--and also walking by on my way in/out of campus. Each time their response has been--do your best Spicoli (Fast times at ridgemont high) impression---"we are expecting a shipment this week." Whatever. They have no fricken clue and you shouldn't deal with them at all IMHO--otherwise you will wait till May.
Just this morning I drove over to Southpoint (mall) and got in line at the Apple store around 9:15am thinking what the heck--I'll try. Walked out of store at 9:45 with my new Ipad2. The only versions they had run out of by then was the 16GB wifi black and white. All the rest were still there, although both (white/black) 32GB wifi only were running low. The Apple guy coordinating outside said he gets there around 8:45 and hands out cards that ensure you get one (or two) of the current day's stock. Which one is not certain--that depends on where you are inline. You can get up to two cards (two Ipads). He also indicated that Apple corporate is very miffed about the secondary market but that the frenzy is about to die down shortly. Regardless, he said that this was the first morning where he had not handed out all his cards (today's stock allotment) by 9:30 so maybe we are about to hit a turning point---at least here in North Carolina. Funny thing is that four people still camped out at this store last night. Standard 16GB wifi's seem to be the hottest sellers with standard 64GB wifi's being the ones that sell last currently. Skip class, hit the store tomorrow at 8:45 and you'll get what you want. Cheers.
Did they have 3G AT&T models? I want one of those. I could've had a verizon today, but if I travel it's useless. I have class at 11, so I may skip and go around 8:30 and see if they get any in.. Any word if they actually were getting stock tomorrow? I think we might start seeing them in stores regularly by next week. And I'm not waiting on UNC. I doubt they'll get them for some time. I'd like to think otherwise though.
They had all models. They get stock every day except Sunday. If you go tomorrow at 8:30, I'm betting you get what you want and you'll be back in time for class. You will probably have enough time to walk by and give the finger to the idiots at the bookstore too.

For sure. Problem is, if they don't get any tomorrow, I'll probably never do it again. I can't make it a habit!
My friend at Student Stores confirmed they didn't get any again today. I also read a tweet that campuses wouldn't get stock till April 4, so we may be waiting a while if we wait for them..
Cancelled my order at our campus Apple store because I've found Target is a much quicker option. I was still 3-4 weeks out from getting one through the campus store.
I just got my AT&T 32GB iPad 2 this morning. They had a ton in stock at the Durham store. I got there at 8:45 and about 200 were in line when they opened. Everyone got a ticket. I was probably 75th and got the last 32 AT&T. I definitely recommend just going there, because who the hell knows when UNC's store will get them in.
