Ever heard of a camera phone? Neither my iPad nor my Laptop have a camera. I have a DSLR camera and an iPhone for that.

I am thinking more of when I am sitting in Starbucks, or the book store or airplane terminal, and there is a nice looking woman sitting across from me, and being obvious would just not be the thing to do....:D

Very creepy brah, well played. If one of your main goals is spy shots, maybe you should check ebay for some secret cameras?

Oh, if you were a MAN, you either A: wouldn't care if you were obvious, or B: Could find a way to snap the shop without alerting her at all.

Not bragging about waiting, but while I wanted one right off the bat, I am always somewhat leary of getting the 'latest and greatest' till all the bugs are worked out of it. And, since I don't own a smartphone yet, I can't just whip out my iphone and take a pic. I am also pretty sure that once I get an Ipad2 I won't upgrade until it croaks, no matter how much more cool stuff the 3,4, etc...come with.

While that is a safe way to play it, i haven't found any bugs at all. I have had mine since day 1 and have probably used it close to a 7 or 8 on the technical scale. I though about waiting a year until it was a proven product, but I'm glad I didn't. It's so nice to have the latest and greatest for once and it really has been awesome, especially for traveling.

I also plan to resell and buy the next model. I tried the "keep it until it dies" method with my PowerBook G4 and I can tell you it's not a good idea. These computers are so good now that they don't die fast enough. I eventually sold it not because it broke, but because it was not modern enough to keep up with my everyday needs. It had plenty of power, ram and hd space, but the hardware was too old and incompatible, mainly the ppc CPU. I paid 2500 for it in 2005 and sold it in 2010 for the cost of my 16gb wifi iPad. Thats the same as paying 500 bucks a year to keep getting the latest model. But I'm sure it doesn't cost that much to keep up even laptop wise. Plus, you also know you are under warranty, have a new battery, and are always up to date with everything. How can you go wrong?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

What I dont get is if it's going to have a USB port wouldn't that be bad and just drain the battery extremely quick ? If charging say your iPhone..

Point taken. Although I can not imagine why anyone would want any type of computer device without a built in camera? Ya never know when you might have to capture a moment.

And you'll find out how rarely you'll use the iPad to capture a moment.
