I don't have wifi everywhere I go so I got a 32gb with 4g. I'm thrilled it's my choice. I don't need a 64... So the 32 is just perfect!

I chose the same. It feels good to have the option whenever I want.

Always a tough choice. With the iPad 2 I went with the 3G option...I used it much, much more than I anticipated. I've had it activated with AT&T constantly since purchase. Even in Alaska, without LTE I decided to go with it...and the 64gig model...as the apps continue to grow. Even in the updates. The Apple apps grew by almost 4 fold...Pages, Numbers, Keynote and GarageBand all gained almost 3-400% in size with the latest 'retina' updates 250-400mb. Up from 70-90mb each. Games are huge...1080p content will take up significantly more space than 480 or 720 content...even the new 5mpxl camera will create
larger files than the old single mpxl cam.

More storage is good...and the extra 130 for LTE is an awesome option...even if you don't use it constantly. You'll be amazed how quickly you can tap out you iPhone battery while tethering.

Apparently the 15 dollar data plans aren't lte . To get lte u have to sign up for a 1 contract year :s. darn you Rogers wireless!!

In terms of value,is having 32gb more valuable then 4g?

Even though we do not have LTE in Alaska yet, I went with the 32GB WiFi + LTE over the 64GB WiFi only. The main reason was that there have been several occasions where I was out of range of a WiFi hotspot and couldn't do what I wanted to on my iPad2. Even at HSDPA+ speeds, I can download data faster than on most WiFi hotspots, so I still come out ahead. When I travel I'll be able to use LTE in all its high-speed glory, whereas I'd be limited to using the old iPad.

I faced the same dilemma. I have an iPhone 4S with an unlimited data plan.
From my past experience with an iPhone 3GS and an iPad 2 - it was a real PITA to tether whenever I wanted to browse something on my iPad while traveling. Because of that I would quickly browse on my phone - epic fail :(

This time I went for the 32GB+4G. Having 64GB is pretty sweet too though.

Just my 2 cents :)

Verizon 32 LTE FTW. No question, having the option to connect wherever and included hotspot functionality if you need is a great combo.

Way back when I had an iPad 1 wifi but within 2 months I upgraded to the version with 3G on AT&T. Not as nice as Verizon where I travel but still able to access Internet most anywhere.

I could never just rely on wifi.

Cheers,

Bestbuy had open box 64gb wifi
With 10% off and the 10% off gift cards I buy it's same price as 32gb for me, easy choice though I might trade it if they do shared data

Easy.

If this is your first iPad -- and it sounds like it is, get whatever is cheaper. Only YOU are going to be able to determine what you will use/need. If you find yourself constantly needing/wanting carrier connection, sell it and upgrade having only lost a little bit of money.

I think that scenario is much better than over-purchasing on a 4G model (with less memory) and potentially NEVER even activating the carrier connection.

This is what I did with my wife's new iPad. I got her a 32 gig wifi only. This is our "test pass" for an iPad. You have to understand though, I love gadgetry and even I found it hard to justify an iPad until I got an iPhone (then I found more reasons to justify the iPad :D ). I was tossing it back and forth... do I invest in the top-end 4G LTE model and spend the coin or do I just get an average, wifi only one and try it out.... I went with the latter. I don't even know how (much) she's going to use it and it would kill me to have spent closer to $1,000 on something that she only uses on occasion.

If she finds that she wants to be able to be connected outside of home and work, we can easily sell it and upgrade or, depending on how much it gets used, just buy a 2nd one to have and I'll take the wifi-only one.

That's my take on the matter. Others may advise differently based on their particular situation.
