Imore = Apple?

I don't think so. So the date is NOT confirmed till it comes from the mouth of Apple. I don't know why i keep pointing this out. No one is listening. And doing anything about it.

So when are the iPad 4 rumours going to start? :p

iPad 4 will have a Thunderbolt connection, 802.11ac WiFi, and will be able to read your mind.

My sister's best friend's cusion's former roommate at band camp told him, who told her, who told her, who told me so.

Wow. This looks good. This kind of builds up my hope that the next MacBook Air will have a quad-core and retina display.

All I Need...

...and all I've wanted was a retina display and a not-so-mediocre camera set on the iPad. This next one has those? Then my money belongs to Mr. Cook. ^_^

The trouble with cameras on the iPad is that it's such an awkward device to use as a camera. The iPhone is better but I can't see me ever using an iPad for serious photo work. It just doesn't fall to hand comfortably.

On the back? The hell is going take photos and videos on an iPad? On the front is FAR more important considering it's the perfect device for video calls.

Is it the announcement or the iPad itself that will land on the 7th? Will I have to stand in line in Seattle to get one if I was there in the evenening on the 7th? What do you think?

Edit, saw the last page now. Too bad it's going to be released later as I'm in the states until the 10th!

21" 2048x1536 monitors are 3000$, so how the iPad can come with 499$ ?

1. The iPad 3 will only be 9.7" not 21"
2. THOSE high end 2048x1536 pixel monitors sell by the thousands (mostly to business' or medical, etc...), while iPads sell by the millions on the consumer level.

So you think that when the size is small price is cheaper.
But i think they can't use this display in that price.

Retina Display

HD FaceTime Camera
Face Unlock
Heat sensor next to camera for Kinect like ability, don't have to touch the screen to swipe through apps, just wave your hand, or make it into a fist to close apps, will work incredibly well.
SIRI 2.0
Introduction of Digital Blu-Ray
Charging port has been moved to landscape to introduce new keyboard docks made by Apple
Improved speaker system for surround sound (unconfirmed)

And 1024x768 color monitors used to cost more than that before they were produced in high volume for the first XGA capable personal computers.

Moore's law and high production volumes has brought that price own by 100X.

I wasn't originally in the market for an iPad earlier since I own the Motorola Xoom, but with customers now wanting iPad compatibility with their sites, I now have a need to get one. Its a great reason to get a new gadget :D.

I don't have an ipad and haven't thought about getting one, but I'd like to know if it could be a good device for a photographer.

Ideally, I'd like an ipad to preview my pictures directly from a SD card, and delete the bad ones from the SD card.

However :
1/ there is no SD slot in the ipad (but I saw that you can buy a SD adapter for the ipad)
2/ it's not possible to preview your photos directly from the SD card, you have to downlaod them first (since I work with 16 GB SD card, that takes a lot of time and that would fill the ipad too quickly)

Any hope for some kind of improvements on that on the next ipad ?

On the back? The hell is going take photos and videos on an iPad? On the front is FAR more important considering it's the perfect device for video calls.

...and it's that front camera that sucks big time. For a device as expensive and cutting edge as the iPad--any generation--it really shouldn't be rocking cameras that produce video reminiscent of the late 90s' cameras. The cameras may not be the reason to buy an iPad, but if one is going to use them, they shouldn't be that laughably basic. Facetime should not look better on an older generation iPod Touch than on an $800 iPad...it's just wrong! ^_^
