Bad nerves in your fingers? Sad. That's a 9% difference.

I dont think anyone really cares about what you think.

And if they do, they're probably concerned about your clear disposition towards the thickness of a product which rests in the palm of your hands.

No one cares about 0.8mm. Deal with it.

Wow, your comprehension is off, too. Maybe you should see a couple doctors about all these issues. Hope you feel better.

Oh no, this is clearly a backward step! 0.8mm thicker, that's just horrendous, no way I'm buying an iPad 3 now. Far too portly.

........kidding :D

To be honest I could care less about 0.8mm. As long as the iPad 3 isn't heavier I'm good. I do have a question though if the mods are viewing this, in the photo it shows the iPad 3 rear shell, but it looks as if it is a complete iPad 3. Is it possible that in the picture it is an actual iPad 3 production model and not just a rear shell?

I would think there would be more of a story from them if they had a production model and not just a shell.

So the minuscule difference in the thickness of an iPad is important front page news? meh.

great news

This is brilliant news, with that 0.8mm extra we can have 2 more cameras, an SD card slot, USB 3 and a G5 Processor!

Steve wud never have released a thicker iPad!!! Just sayin...R.I.P. Mr. Jobs!!!
So, in 2020 there would be no iPad, because they would have to release a 0mm thick iPad. Sorry, but that comment is stupid. Steve died in october and probably already knew it would be thicker.

And how do you explain when Steve Jobs released the iPhone 3G slightly thicker than the first iPhone?

I hope you're being sarcastic.

The finished, assembled product may very well be the same exact thickness as the current iPad 2, but will actually seem thinner because of its tapered back casing, as mentioned before.

We haven't seen it yet. We don't know. Don't bring Steve Jobs into this. He knew more about the upcoming iPad than we do. Dude is dead. Let him be.

iPad curvature

Does anyone know the radius of the curvature on the back of the iPad 2 or the iPad 3???
