I did the switch too

via iTunes as a new iPad, no complaints so far and I am glad, I did the Update, much better, than I have expected :D

would recommend upgrading to iPad 5 if you want iOS 7. iPad 4 with iOS 7 isn't even good.
Apple keep getting the reward for putting the new device every year, IPad 4 came out in Sept 2012, ios 7 comes out in sept 2013 and it is not good on IPad 4. No wonder their tablet share is dwindling.

Pretty bad, eh. I feel that the iPad will be a big step up though...

Haha, good one!

So you take the word of a newbie member that iOS 7 on the iPad 4 is "bad" and then it's off to the races, eh?

newbie or oldbie if does not work as expected, then do not raise your voices, keep :) as fools

I upgraded to 7 right away. Has some lag but discovered that the dynamic wallpaper was causing the lag. I'm using a still and it runs pretty smooth. NO complaints at all!

Ipad 3 on 6.1.2 jb'ed. This way, I store all my mp4 ripped blurays onto assorted sd cards and use my cck to watch them via ifile (video player).

I'll reconsider when an iOS 7 jailbreak becomes available.

Ipad 3 is still with iOS 6.0. If the new iPad mini is retina, I'll acquire one of those and jailbreak the iPad 3.

I'm a value person and constantly upgrading devices. I can not remember ever spending more than $100-$200 net to get the newest device. Last phone upgrade I made well over $700 got 2 iPhone golds. I'll migrate when the jailbreak comes to preserve my resale value.
