iPad iPad 4 LTE Shipping & Tracking

Status update my Ipad delivery date changed to the 16th but now it's back to the 19th something is going on. My Ipad is in Tulsa now At destination sort facility no reason it shouldn't go out tomorrow I have had stuff hit sort facility at 2am and still get my package the same a day around 8 or 10am.

It appears there is some type of hold :mad:

I ordered mine this AM, and it told me Dec 3rd is my delivery!

I sure hope it comes alot sooner.. If i c them available in the store i am just gonna purchase it there and hopefully can cancel my order!
 
I think we are all going to wait until Monday

All of the posts here seem to indicate that Apple wants all these iPads delivered at once. None of my tracking data (or anyone else's) makes any sense -and I have shipped by FedEx for over 25 years.

I hope I am wrong, but it seems that Apple wants "simultaneous delivery" or will hold delivery until the stores are stocked too. It is odd in that I was originally e-mailed by Apple that arrival would be on the 16th, but FedEx has ETA as the 19th. My "extra" lightning cable shipped to me in California 2 days after it left China. If that was true for my iPad, I would have it by now. Something or someone is slowing them all down.

Frankly it is annoying!

Could agree more. Maybe will get lucky and they will all deliver on Friday. From my understand that's when they will be in the stores so my guess is Apple wants them held till then
 
Probably Monday the 19th. Seems to be the most common FedEx generated date. Apple thrives on melodrama, so I can see them holding these on purpose to increase the tension. FedEx air cannot transfer to ground and tracking usually shows delivery holds - but they seem to be doing just that. Tomorrow will tell. If anyone here reports delivery, then I am wrong. If no one reports delivery, then we are all being delayed by Apple. Sorry, folks!

How and why FedEx is and can handle this is beyond me. They aren't set up for coordinated delivery and Apple is just one of many big shippers. I guess I'll go out tomorrow and buy a Nexus 7 to play with until Monday. I want to try one anyway.
 
If they hit stores before I get mine delivered, I'm going out and buying one and returning the one shipped to me, unopened and all.

I might do the same. What's the point of pre ordering if you don't get it the same day it's out in the store. This is stupid Apple needs to re think there pre orders. It's dumb to let all these ipads site around at the sort facility and hold them till Monday.

It's really dumb if they give us tracking numbers and information and we clearly can figure out that they are playing games with us.

Many years ago I worked in a Silicon Valley company that supplied Apple with components. Apple was arrogant then and they are arrogant now.

I wouldn't start getting mad or speculate that things won't deliver until...well...they don't deliver. And even then it's still arriving 3-7 days earlier than they originally said it would for most.
 
I'm at destination sort facility. Usually receive the same day that happens. But still showing 11/19 as delivery date

You are absolutely correct. Mine initially showed delivery on the 23rd and I was thrilled to get notice from Apple of a delivery on the 16th. Having it slip to the 19 th was annoying. But I do see your point.
 
same boat as everyone else.. at destination sort facility since 12:31 am est. i would hazard a guess and say these are being held till either tomorrow or worst case monday. really sucks, but typically if it hasnt reached the local neighborhood facility by now it's not going out for delivery today. hopefully i'm wrong.
 
Mine updated 15 mins ago from being "at the destination sort facility" to being "at local Fedex facility". That is where the trucks come from but I suspect Apple has a hold on these packages until tomorrow and that will be the earliest delivery we see.

Just in case though, I am putting my pre sign paper on the door.
 
mine updated to local facility too. thats good news as the holds usually stay at the main sort facility. wonder if we could just go over and pick it up since it doesnt say its being held for future delivery? i might try later this morning if its not put on a truck as its not far from my house.

Unless Apple does have a hold on these till Monday the "2nd" round of iPads are en route to Tenn. and should arrive around 10:30 EST, I think that is plenty of time for the 2nd round to make it to the local FedEx places for tomorrow.
 
heck mine hasn't even shipped yet despite the fact that i pre-ordered before many people here.

today is the 6th business day and per apple's email last week, it should have shipped on the 5th business day.

in addition, my delivery date (again though, it hasn't been shipped yet) has been a moving target bouncing between Nov 23 and Nov 16 with no rhyme or reason.

time to give Apple a call and put an end to this nonsense. as someone above mentioned, i might just buy it in store either in the apple store or best buy and return this one when it arrives in 2013. so annoying...

@7:59 mine arrived 'at local FedEx facility' - which is maybe a mile from my office.

I'm going to bet they are slated for delivery tomorrow. It seems hard to believe that Apple would purposely miss a weekend of holiday store sales if big numbers of these things are already sitting next door in local shipping depots (assuming any hold until Monday affects both pre-orders and store stock).

I just checked mine again after reading this.

@7:59 - arrived 'at local FedEx facility'.
@8:05 - 'on FedEx vehicle for delivery'!

^^ mine still says Nov 19th by 4:30.
 
Like everyone else, I am not at the local FedEx facility

at 7:47 am - that is usually early enough for delivery. Hope it gets out today ...
