Ugh. These threads are beyond annoying. Seriously.

If you honestly think that ONE moved release is the "downfall of Apple" or "The dawn of a six month cycle" or any of the other retarded crap that so many of you are spewing, you're a moron. Plain and simple.

This is business. The iPad 3 had issues that needed addressed. The new dock connector is important to Apple, just like Thunderbolt was when it launched. And the March/April keynote (Not February, and I have no idea where you got that idea) needed to be freed up for other products/services.

It was logical to launch the iPad 4 a bit early to correct issues, as well as to benefit Apple by getting the release of both iPads into a more beneficial and profitable timeframe.

Let it go. The year cycle will continue. It was a one-time move. iPads will launch in October now, right after the iPhone in September. Expect something else in March/April. Expect software at WWDC.

Tim Cook isn't stupid, and isn't going to destroy the time-tested yearly refresh. This was just to correct the ecosystem of products. Unify iOS devices on launches, and allow for other new things to be announced.

Pretty much means only the Mac Pro left that wasn't updated between July and October. If they keep this on yearly redesigns, what are they going to release in the other three quarters of the year? Maybe they need 6 months to hype that new TV...

There is always rumours to fill the void. Wasn't there rumours of the iPhone 6 like a day after the iP5 was released?
