iPad Air 2 Gold? Yea or Nay?

When I purchased my iPad Air 2, I was leaning towards getting Space Grey or White/Silver.

They were sold out of Silver, so I initially decided on Space Grey. I went to buy a leather case, and they only had Red, Brown or Blue to select from. I'm not a fan of bright coloured cases to decided on an impulse to switch to the gold iPad with the brown leather case and I absolutely love my decision.

Prior to owning a Gold device, I always thought they looked tacky, however I really do love my gold Air 2, and it goes perfect with the brown leather case.

Same thing for me. They were sold out of everything except gold 128g cellular. I purchased and could not be happier! I love the color and I don't even usually like golds.
 
Love my gold air 2 as well; I regret not getting the gold iPhone 6+. Thats how much I like it!
I wish apple came out with a gold back and a black bezel version. I love that color combination of the new macbook.

I have an iPad Air 2 Gold and I love it. I've owned an iPad 2, 3, Air and finally the Air 2. Had white/silver and black and Gold is by far my favorite.
 
saw a gold ipad on the weekend. absolutely gorgeous!

I'd traditionally go for black or silver, but no, it convinced me, together with the views in this thread, that Gold is the colour for my new ipad pro :)

(rose gold might have been nicerer, but probably need to wait until ipp2 for that)
 
Bought a gold iPad mini 3 a few months ago and sold my gray 6+ to buy a gold 6s Plus. They're beautiful and the best color currently offered by Apple right now. Love the gold ring around the home button.

I'll probably stick with gold unless Apple starts making black devices again.
 
I just got a new iPad Air 2 today and I asked my buddy Bo who's the biggest stud I know what color I should get... and his text reply was... "Get the f'n gold and screw the boring color s't!" Of course I had to edit the response, but this guy knows cool so I believe what he tells me. Get the gold!

I don't know if this is off-topic but I would like to ask if there is any difference between the gold of the iPad Air 2 and the one on the iPad Mini 4 ... I'm planning to buy an iPad Mini 4 or an iPad Air 2 and I'm wondering what kind of gold they have .. I was always a fan of the "gold" on the iPhone 5s which was closer to champagne rather than the one on the newer iPhones .. Thanks in advance ..
 
Anyone bought a new iPad Air 2 since the iPhone 6S launch? The gold is a different shade for the 6S/6S+ Compared to last years iPhone 6/6+. - wondering if they updated the iPad Air 2 shade of gold too.
 
I literally bought an iPad Air 2 today in Gold, and I'm in love. It's a very subtle gold. Reminds me of the gold iPhone 5s. Not blingy at all. You'll love it! Plus, Gold iPads are rare out in the open, it seems.

Gold is really nice, I had the Air 2 in gold for the past year, but sold it for the Pro... And I kind of wanted a Silver iPad again. I think while the gold is nice and not too overwhelming, the silver iPad looks the best. Silver is a very neutral yet cool looking color.

I wasn't a fan of the gold previously, but after looking at the gold iPad mini4 I decided to get gold for a change. It is a very subtle and tasteful color in my opinion. Now I'm wishing I had the iPhone 6S in gold also. I think you will love the gold iPad Air 2.
 
I was nervous getting a Gold version (shopped in the refurbished store so had very limited colour options when purchasing) but really quite like it. As others have said, it's a pleasant shade of Gold, not tacky or bling bling.

I'm glad that you're one of those who aren't all about latest and greatest....at least that's what it sounds like.
 
Like many, I don't care for the white bezels after having owned a few each. I won't buy a white bezeled iPad or iPhone for myself again, although last year I did get my dad a white/silver iPad Air since my mom had my previous space gray iPad Air and wanted them to easily tell whose was whose. However if they had the gold with black bezels I would consider it.
 
When the time I came for my 6+ I just wanted a change from black/space grey, so picked gold. I fell in love with the color so decided to get the same color for the air2. Best Buy told me they only had silver left so I declined and went further across town to get to the apple store. Just. to. get. gold. o_O lol Crazy, since it spends most of the time in a case. Oh well, the heart wants what the heart wants.
