When I purchased my iPad Air 2, I was leaning towards getting Space Grey or White/Silver.
They were sold out of Silver, so I initially decided on Space Grey. I went to buy a leather case, and they only had Red, Brown or Blue to select from. I'm not a fan of bright coloured cases to decided on an impulse to switch to the gold iPad with the brown leather case and I absolutely love my decision.
Prior to owning a Gold device, I always thought they looked tacky, however I really do love my gold Air 2, and it goes perfect with the brown leather case.
Love my gold air 2
Hi! I've recently started thinking about Christmas (yes, I'm that person), and so I asked my parents if they still wanted me to make a list (I'm at the age where I don't want to just make a list and give it to them out of no where), and my mom said she still wants a list. Anyway, for the last few days I've been looking at the iPad Air 2 (and by looking, I mean obsessively researching) and I used to be a naysayer of the iPad, but after actually researching it, I see just how useful it is. I'm thinking I might ask for the Air 2 for Christmas. I absolutely love the gold color (from what I see online on videos and in pictures), but I was wondering- in person is the gold a tasteful gold, or is it a gaudy and "in your face" type of gold? I was just wondering, since I've never seen the gold on display in tech stores in my area, for some reason.

I'm glad that you're one of those who aren't all about latest and greatest....at least that's what it sounds like.I literally bought an iPad Air 2 today in Gold, and I'm in love. It's a very subtle gold. Reminds me of the gold iPhone 5s. Not blingy at all. You'll love it! Plus, Gold iPads are rare out in the open, it seems.
